I'm 72, I was 14 when they did this particular song. I've never heard it b4, missed this particular episode of the Ed Sullivan Show, so this is actually my 1st time hearing it! Obviously, they didn't put it out there or we'd have heard it on our radio airwaves. TIME IS ON MY SIDE, which is my favorite Rollingstones song, was performed on the show but I missed it. Heard about it at school the next day so I was mad at myself for missing it. I've caught it on KZfaq lately so I'm caught up. Good job you're doing!👍

“Time is on my Side” was originally recorded by Irma Thomas. It was expected to be her crossover from the R&B charts to Billboard 100, but was quickly picked up my the Stones. It was written by Jerry Ragovoy. He also wrote “Piece of my Heart” originally recorded by Erma Franklin (Aretha’s sister) and covered by Joplin. He wrote “Try (Just A Little Harder)" originally recorded by Lorraine Ellison covered by Joplin. He wrote “Cry, Baby” recorded by Garnet Mimms and the Enchanters and covered by Joplin He also wrote “Stay (With Me)" also recorded by Lorraine Ellison and covered by Bette Midler "playing Joplin" in her movie "The Rose". Ellison’s version was recorded when Frank Sinatra blew off a booked studio with full orchestra and she got the time to record a blow the roof off the church, must hear. Another R&B song that was picked by the Moody Blues during the British Invasion was Bessie Banks’s “Go Now”. A lot of great music charted on the R&B charts that never made it on the Billboard 100. I would love for you to listen to some of the Stax recordings. With your sense of humor I suggest Otis Redding & Carla Thomas - Tramp.

This group is considered the bad boys of rock & roll. I grew up with their early stuff. My favorite era of The Rolling Stones is from the 60's British Invasion. I loved the "Flowers" album. They had a lot of great early hits such as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Get Off of My Cloud", "Paint It Black", "Ruby Tuesday", "Let's Spend the Night Together", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Honky Tonk Women", "You Can't Always Get What You Want", "Gimme Shelter", "Tumbling Dice" & "Brown Sugar".

This was early on, when The Stones were still doing blues covers and just beginning to write their own songs. They're still performing Time is on My Side after all these years. Their longevity alone -- set aside the great music -- qualifies them as the greatest rock band in history. Their 60 Tour in Europe starts tomorrow!! (Yes, I know The Beatles were more experimental and inventive, and Paul and Ringo are still going strong, but the band as an entity unfortunately ceased long ago. If they were still all living and touring as The Beatles, I might have a different opinion.)

The screaming was so loud because the type of music and the performers were SO different than what came before. They were cool, rebellious, and had major swag. And the music was exciting. No wonder the girls went crazy. They could use this as an excuse to let go of their inhibitions. Elvis paved the way (pre-Army Elvis) but bands like Beatles and Stones kicked in the doors.

Ed Sullivan was a variety show that everyone who even _had_ a TV would make sure they were in front of it on Sunday nights, from what my mom told me. You'd see a juggling act, a comedian, and then "The Rolling Stones" and, this video shows how much bands like The Beatles and The Stones affected these young girls. They'd cry and, pass out even... and that screaming was loud right? They lusted after these young British invasion acts, or Elvis , they weren't accustomed to Rock outside of Elvis who got screamed at too right? I love how Mick Jagger sucked at lip sinking, the bands instruments weren't even plugged in , and these girls flipped out just seeing them! Mick Jagger didn't even have "Moves Like Jagger" yet, like Michael Jackson he developed his moves over time. Even Keith has some moves on stage now that he wasn't doing back in the beginning. I saw The Stones in 89 for the "Steel Wheels Tour" in Miami and, 2 days later drove to Jacksonville FL to see them again! People joked about their ages by calling it the "Steel Wheelchair Tour" but, these brothers are _still_ getting it done nearly 60 years since this show! Brothers Jamal, don't worry about people watching your channel, Rick Beato mentioned you recently and he's got like 3 million subscribers and, 60 percent of people who watch his videos aren't even subscribed! Word of mouth brother! Jamal is not a household name yet but, people know who you are!! It's cause you're a good human man! People are sick of all the hate, and even haters don't even know that they don't want to be angry. Every human wants peace deep down, and you can't be angry and, peaceful at the same time right? People love you bro, and there are all different reaction channels but, you're the only one I care about brother. I see big things coming back around, you're a good human and, you're going to be blessed for spreading the love brother!✌️🎸🎶🎵👨🎤< That's a little David Bowie, Starman emoji courtesy of Google Gboard throwing the 🤘 Rock and Roll sign. Pretty cool I think...let's be good humans and, Jamal keep em comin" brother! ✌️♥️🙏

@@m.e.w.4394 I still have these 3d glasses they were giving away at 7 eleven for the live TV airing of the tour! I lost my T-shirt but, I wore it for years. Saw them in Miami in a Monday and drove to Tampa on a Wednesday to see them again!! One of the best shows I've ever seen and, I've seen quite a few! So cool you've still got your shirt in the family right? Too Cool! I was maybe 10 ft from Mick stage left when he ran up the stairs and sang from the platform! He threw his arm out and pointed at me, (eye contact and everything) because I was surrounded by empty seats. Ppl who had moved to the field? So I was screaming "YEEEAAAHHH!! " so he pointed, spun around and, back down. Keath came up more than once. The more you scream, the more likely the ppl around you will scream and, the band is drawn to the more enthusiastic side! I was on different sides for the 2 shows, and because we were the louder side , Keith did the "Sympathy..." Lead on our side both nights! Just a monster of a stage, elevator and, inflatable woman! Plus, Street Wheels is a great album! So that combined with the classics, and the backup singers , the lighting, just amazing. I could have lived in those moments forever!!🎸🎶✌️♥️

"Time Is On My Side" was written by Jerry Ragovoy (aka "Norman Meade") and was also recorded by soul singer Irma Thomas in 1964. Yeah, that screaming. Never seen this classic clip before. What a beauty. You got watch Dynamic Hepnotics , Soul kind of feeling. With its uplifting lyrics and some super cool bass, you will love it. They are an Australian band back in mid 80s Give it a go.

What's going on dude, love your reactions...you're one of the best! Haven't seen anything about Elvis since the negative video you had on about celebrities dark sides... You mentioned one time after an Elvis reaction that every time you see the negative s*** you take it down you're just there too celebrate the artists legacy. I follow along and watch all the time and I am a fan. Don't stop reacting on a celebrity cuz of b******* videos You see online! Keep up the great positive reactions!!!
