I've loved the Stones since I was 6 years old in 1970. I even remember. getting a kick out of the Flinstones cartoon doing an episode with " Mick Jadestone and the Rolling Bolders" singing "Don't Rock Now Because Our Love Has Grown Stone Cold!" I love it, it was great.

This came out when I was a wee lad and I loved it back then. One of my favorite Stones tracks. Not sure where people are getting the idea that it is/was underrated. They played it on the radio constantly in 83. It was a pretty big hit.

i was 12 when this came out; a Stone fanatic at this point of time. went to the record shop and heard this song on headphone for the first time. They had them super loud (probably by accident), man .. I was so blown away. I have to admit, the album didn't exactly blow me away ... but this song, wow!

Still to this day it’s a blurry childhood traumatic memory as to why most of this song disturbed and scared me as a child. I actually at least remember panicking and crying with my older sister there was something scary about it and I can’t remember what EXACTLY tied to it but..whatever right? When I listen to it now I feel some part of me cry on the inside but it doesn’t scare me anymore. I do love the stones. My dad’s crazy about them.

Great song and very danceable and has a real club-song aspect to it. And his jacket is great, not Members Only (which if I recall were kind of mocked even at the time) but has a pattern to it and a real 1983 new wave fashion look to it. I’d have worn it with a polo (collar up), Calvin jeans, and Harley Davidson belt.

I think the critics underrated this album …. I thought the Stones recreated theirselves quiet well with touches of hard rock, new wave, electronica , funk, hip-hop, world beat,& reggae…with their blues style they are known for …. Plus the videos were arthouse dark comedic and entertaining…. Just thought they created something new and different once again …. Not saying it’s their best …. But I admire it for its originality…. Never seen this video before, and there is a LOT to process. Mick Jagger's outrageous jacket. The guy in red dancing in the front row is one of those guys who danced with Bill Gates for the Windows 95 launch, I think. Jerry Hall is on front row too. Then there's that stoic, bizarre bald guy to the left in the crowed, watching emotionless. But! The shot of Charlie, head back and laughing (?), behind the profile of Bill Wyman is the single greatest moment in Rolling Stones' video history.

Wow, I've never seen this version before. I only remember seeing the other version with all the conceptual footage of Mick getting kidnapped by Keith and all that. I've always wondered if the General at the end wasn't a nod to Devo's (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction video, where General Boy similarly preempts an attempt by two teenagers to get it on.

I believe this is the alternate version that they made because MTV thought the original was too violent. That version is also on YT as well.

Wow! It's been almost 40 years and I've never seen THIS version of the video. I'm very familiar with the dramatized video with Keith and Mick both playing acting roles in the video. Kinda curious they did this version with the same "supporting" actors, but the band is all involved in the music (not the play-acting). This kicks ass! I "kinda" like the "original" video - but this version crushes it!

I don't disagree with you. It was the 89 tour at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Okay. We are both Stones fans. Everytime I have seen the band I have been on the best drugs and booze money could buy. They have all been great shows and I was lubricated in the finest way. I love the band, but as much as I listen and read about the Stones, there will always be a Historian who can one up me. Let us both enjoy the ride.
