The best thing is that this was filmed in Trier which is a town that was founded by Romans 2000 years ago. It is Germany’s oldest town.

Its a thing of beauty. Always brings back happy memories of younger me at reenactments and shows. My favourite places have been Croatia/Dalmatia and France. Britain is alright but wet, Germany is not desirable in winter but summer is very pleasant. Italy had the best crowd! What a superb video with an excellent Legion. Well done lads 🫡

Actually the Germanic peoples who entered in the Roman Empire in 5th century AD, fled the terrible invasion of the Huns ... therefore they were refugees ... often they asked to enter peacefully but when the Roman authorities stopped them at the border, they entered anyway, with the force of arms! They were impossible to stop. Too many peoples at the same time! All this mass of refugees caused the economic, social and political collapse of the Roman world.
