I love recordings from this time. They are kind of haunting and warm at the same time. All the old studio compressors and recording in mono and what not. I feel like you almost couldn't recreate it now, unless you were in that same studio. Early Beach Boys and anything by Phil Spector really imparts that sound.

I believe they called it the Wall of Sound. Instruments and vocals were deliberately buried in the mix, creating a wonderfully muddy explosion of music. You still hear its influence in today's pop music.

Brooklyn NY at a store called Billy Blakes my then boyfriend bought this album for me I was 16yrs old. This is the best Christmas album ever. Yes I still have it, is been through a lot of wear and tear but A few yrs ago I bought it on CD. Hal Blaine RIP

Released in 1990 I saw it for the first time in 2008!!!! (I was born in 1989) And the ONLY reason I found out about it was from a trip down memory lane , looking up one of my favorite cartoons from my childhood in the 90s: ANIMANIACS!! Upon reading about the different segments " The GOODFEATHERS 🐦 🐦 🐦 was recurring segment of Animaniacs , that consisted of a pigeon trio that were obvious pigeon parodies of Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta's roles in GOODFELLAS. I Googled the movie, and the poster caught my eye! I had only known Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci from comedy roles ( Meet the Parents & Fockers And Home Alone respectively) So when I seen the rating and the word FUCK is used hundreds of times , that it was a violent movie..... Eventually saw it, scared to death of De Niro and especially PESCI!!! But....it was an insanely awesome movie!! So Animaniacs was even better to look at again...from a different perspective! It was cooler than what I remember. As a kid, Cartoons are always entertaining. When you get older, some jokes or content make you wonder if cartoons are really for children, When they make parodies/ references to R rated movies definitely not intended for kids. When
