It basically means that when you don't like life and you're hanging by a thread, it's easier to bare that pain with someone by your side. It's easier to have someone holding your hand while you hang off a cliff than it is to hold on by yourself. These lyrics make me wanna cry...

if you're wondering where the music video is, it's deleted. Many shinee fans were uncomfortable with jonghyun's instagram photos shown in the mv, especially since the lyrics were triggering and we don't want to be reminded of that event. Jonghyun's family filed a complaint as well. This is NOT The rose's fault, its the mv director. The members of The Rose had no idea that Jonghyun's photos were used as 'props' for their mv until we pointed it out. Anyway a statement was released where the mv director apologised and the company took down the video. I don't know if the company is going to reedit the mv and upload it.

This came up on my Spotify autoplay after a BTS playlist. I was working at the time, and I literally stopped everything and sat listening through the entire song. I cried for the first time when I listened to this while reading the translation. The lyrics are just resonating so much to me. I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety for many years already, and I felt like being drenched the rain, crying of loneliness because I feel so alone with no one helping me, no one I can reach out to, and all I can do is camouflage my tears and pain in the rain. When I listened to this especially during the part "You wanna hurt yourself, I'll stay with you" onwards, I broke down crying cause I felt it so much, I never knew how much I longed for someone to be with me and to comfort me in my never ending rain of pain.

I love this song, I can relate to it so much.... I have a friend that last year almost took herself multiple times and it was such a scary point in my life. I can’t imagine what a life without her would be like or what she was going through. I had no idea what to do, but once she talking to me I was glad. She was so good at hiding it, and all she wore were long sleeved sweaters to cover her arms for sensitive reasons. She is much better now and is going to therapy. But it was frickn scary! Till this day I feel like I should have done something more. No seventh grader should be that depressed..... so for anyone who is struggling currently, I love you and I will support you no matter your race, sexuality, religion, what you identify as, etc. Talking with someone always makes things better, trust me.💜
