Sometimes not always. The rotors have special pin clips that if the engine has overheated or been abused almost always need replaced. People like Rob Dahm and others have tricks to make them much more durable and to reuse stuff. You aren't wrong that when they die they die big time but that engine definitely has some good parts still

I have had 3 Mazda 323 conversions . 2 LT selicas.with stock and Bridgeport 12a,s . 2 FB . 12 a Bridgeport and 2 series 2 FB with 13 B bridge J port and a 13B .J port 6 port drill port . . Love all Rita's . Oh and a series 2 capella . . Now I have a 13 B 6 port in a series 2 . 1982. With a series 5 6 port

It's so surreal watching your content and your shop is less than a mile from where I grew up near dalemabry and waters, your brothers shop is about 3 miles from my moms old house near bearrs and Florida ave and my cousin use to live not to far from your brother house back there by n. Try to buy a Holley blow thru carburettor, they start around $1500 and go up from there. Hardly a cheap carburettor.

For tips and tricks on rotary motors, and tuning i would look at Rob Dahm's channel. he has some really good experience all regarding rotary and Mazda, and he know how to make some power out of each rotary section Like 1200hp on a 3 Rotor turbo, and a one in a kind AWD 4 Rotor MX-7 .... But John V did a good job to, considering what your applications are futher ....
