Peppermint oil is a natural and phenomenal mouse repellent. It works. We've been using it for years with no more mice in vehicles. We also spray the engine compartment, cowling, and firewall.

My buddy bailed an armadillo a few weeks ago. They had to unroll that bale too. As a kid we always found a snake in one of the square bales. I seriously hate snakes. They thought it would be funny to toss the snake bale up to me on the wagon we were stacking on. I ended up kicking about 15 bales off on top of them. Did I mention I hate snakes 🐍

They are the best. Kind of awful, but effective. I rented a house with a dirt crawlspace that apparently rats and mice quite enjoyed living in. (I never went down there) I knew there were a few mice running around but I finally tried the dishwasher in the house and the smell that came off it was brutal. Rats had made a home on top of it. I had all kinds of traps, the glue traps were the only ones that would snag a rat and the little mice.

6:50, put some cotton balls with peppermint oil on them in Rebecca's car, and the mice will stay out of it.😊

I guess I did a LOT of stuff this week, then! Tuesday-steering column on my tractor broke and fell in my lap while bushhogging. Thursday morning- one of the adjusters on a bushhog wing broke. Thursday afternoon- CV driveshaft in bushhog blew up….and tore up ALL 3 hydraulic hoses as it whipped around. Probably a $3,000 week. :(

Happy Birthday to your dad. With the mouse makes me remember a friend many years ago was driving 45 miles an hour and felt a snake slithering across her foot on the gas! Had no idea it was in her car at all she was on a county road and opened her door and bailed out at speed! She was ok for what she had been through lots of scratches and road rash and the trauma of feeling the snake and being scared out of her mind. Thank goodness someone was not far behind and stopped helped her and removed the snake and found someone to call her parents ( pre cell phone). The car slowed down and rolled into a ditch minor damage to it. Turned out to be non poisonous chicken snake I think? So I can definitely feel for Rebecca. Mice can do so much damage to a car and if they get into the wiring that’s major damage and money to fix. Sorry about the go pro but love how you share the good and the bad . Susan

Put pepperment tea bags in your car. Mice hate the smell of pepperment and also cinnamon. Cotton balls with drops of peppermint oil work too.

Hi Evan. I tie a piece or paracord to my GoPro mount and the other end to my equipment. I lost a camera that I had mounted on my excavator while trying to do a timelapse of me towing it up into the mountains at dawn. Would have made a nice video 😢

You could go to your local farm supply store and see if they have the type of pick up teeth for that specific type of baler you’ll just have to bring a section of pick up teeth with you when you go to the farm supply store

Brother, I really enjoy your videos. I've made some "bonehead" moves myself. Once, when I was mowing, my wallet "wormed its way outta my pocket" and jumped to the ground, where it IMMEDIATLY got "eaten" by my brushcutter. My Drivers License, USMC ID card, a couple of $100.00 bills, etc all got horribly mangled. I didn't know it when it happened and I circled back around and saw something that looked like money on the ground as I drove by. : O : O Dude, things happen. I'm just grateful it wasn't me that the mower ran over. Thank You, Jesus! : ) : )

Use the old-fashioned mouse traps. I've had them eat the bait without tripping the gray traps. Their number 1 feast is cookie dough, next cheese wiz then peanut butter. Good Luck.

Time for sticky trap boards placed under the seat. Pray that you don't have them move into the engine compartment and spread peppermint oil around in it.

I am the same way Rebecca....NO MICE!!!! 2 things, mice do not like mint, you can make a spray with mint essential oil for the interior and you can put moth balls under your car....that deters mice and snakes from getting in your car.

You ain't farming until you bale your phone or drop it in the Auger and send it up into grain bin and then watch for it to come out when you empty the bin :)

Maybe set more traps with peanut butter and have them up against structure. They want to run along the wall. I had great success with d-CON snap traps. I got a very elusive mouse.

Happy birthday to your dad. Had to chuckle at the bailer picking up your GoPro. There’s a product called fresh cab (yes that’s the name of it) that repels rodents It has a potpourri smell that really repels mice and other critters. I used it in my shop for mice Giving it a try in the wife’s car.

Evan instead of depending solely on the magnets to hold the camera up why don't you tie a string to it to limit the distance it can fall? That way it can't fall a long distance and break and it can't fall into the baler.

I guess stock in gopro just went up. I like to buy the gopro 9 it has about the same features as the new ones but at a little cheaper price. If you're going to destroy a gopro quite frequently you might as well save a hundred or so.
