Cultures destroyed, society destroyed, corruption and lawlessness and rudeness everywhere trying to copy Western culture only in terms of make-up and clothes. Population out of control, no open spaces. We Indians and Pakistanis should be mighty proud of these achievements. Remember: 💰 isn't everything, try buying happiness and bliss with 💰.*

Yes, back when Indians showed respect for new friends in Britain and had standards - unlike now. Apparently 70 years of independence has created a generation who didn’t live it but like to blame the empire for ‘ruining their lives’. A bit like some young fools in the USA who never experienced slavery or Jim Crow but try to pretend they did to give themselves victim points - entirely ignoring all the privileges and opportunities they have right now living in the freest most socially mobile country on earth. Absolute idiots.

“With what truly Indian friendship and courtesy were the royal visitors received “ , as per the opening of the commentary . I would agree , for the people India have natural courtesy , modesty and elegance . India , a country of enormous culture , manners and pride and also of complexities far too sophisticated and indeed complex, for most to be able to understand or appreciate . Hence the rather patronising tone of this report by the then , usually excellent Pathe News . But PT , was in “good “ company , for neither was the Queen able to appreciate /understand much either .
