Күн бұрынToday on Administrative Results We take a look at the Atlantic Firearms Romanian RPK. Now I know I've had a variety of other RPKs on the channel thus far but I do have a soft spot for the RPK platform. I know I also have the American RPK, but I couldn't resist snagging a RPK in 762x39. So Far I am enjoying it and have had little complaints. One case had a failure to extract in the chamber of the RPK but that was only the worst thing to happen. Still unsure if it was ammo or RPK's Fault.

I'm mostly not into Cold War Soviet era guns. But when it comes to the RPK, I don;t know why but I love it so much. I loved it in the old Classic Red Dawn Film. And still do.

I'm ex British soldier and before we went to Afghanistan we had a foreign weapons lessons where we got to play around with an RPD. I broke the cocking handle off it easing the bolt forward from being cocked. I had my arse kicked because we couldn't get it back on. We had an early era M16 without the forward assist. The thing felt like a toy it was so light

Boomer here! I have owned 14 Soviet small arms (AKs and variants) and most of them were very accurate for the intended purpose. Some of them almost tack drivers at reasonable ranges. With good receivers, barrels, and blammo- you are set for mayhem. When I retired overseas, ARs were expensive and AKs were cheap. We returned stateside six years ago and everything has flipped. I regret liquidating most of my arsenal back then, but have not added any of the Warsaw Pact goodies, yet...🤓

I came across this channel when it only had a thousand subs and was still called Executive Outcomes. BIG chimp energy abounded. Now it's rolling past 200k subs and has A+ production value and editing. Still got that big chimp energy, though. ;-)

The S.A.D.F used nutria brown uniforms until around +- 1995 when the soldier 2000 camo was brought into general service. This camo was in development for a few years, the idea was to create an outfit that would work in as many of south africas likely operational enviroments as possible. The general exception to the "browns" were units like 32 bn & the recce units who would wear camos when deployed. There are plans to change or modify the current s.a uniform, whether it will involve a new pattern or simply a different design remains to be seen.

Admin, if you want to larp harder with the Rhodesia vibe, what I done was buy some spare chucks and cut off the insignia and the side. 58 & 44 pattern was used until 1969 with the introduction of pat 69 webbing so it wasn’t uncommon for soldiers to be wearing it.

RPK is my top bucketlist weapon, in my past trained in and used Bren gun, LMG, more modern times the LSW, light support weapon, last one like the SA80 a pile of crud. RPK has to be one of the best.

AR is too complicated and overrated... A small light one is nice, but... RPK for fire support is awesome. So effective and cheap ammo with a punch...

RPK is dope but I’ve always loved the RPD over it. It just seems like the better platform so basically RPD for the win or if you’re a real Chad then you would go for a RP-46

Bought one of the battlefield pick up RPK’s Atlantic firearms made using Bulgarian parts kits in 2018 and it’s so much damn fun to own. Throw a 75 round drum on it and you are ready to party. Glad I got one while I did because they are pricey now.

Why I have hung on to my my Romanian RPK. Back in the day they were the cheapest of all the RPKs but now I see them selling for $2,000-$3,000.

@@AdministrativeResults UA Army. Also you hit all the points/gripes of being an RPK74 Gunner. The moment you’re thrown anything else lighter other then the RPK everything else feels like a toy, was also using a Chicom chest rig but switched over to a more modern set up anything over 30 round mags (specifically the long boi 45s) just are too awkward to run around with.

Nice bru. I used an RPK on one of my Contracts in the Trunk Monkey position (that's the rear gunner spot in vics for PSD's and ERT's/ CAT/ HATE teams for the unacquainted) when our PK was down/ broken, they're definitely handy and fun, runs like a champ.

My father was a South African Pathfinder and was deployed in Zim (then Rhode), so they were issued the R1 prototype chest webbing and by the time the pat 83 webbing was around the rhode bush war was over.
