These concepts I have already embraced through trial and error over the years. It’s nice to hear others use them too. So logical yet basic. The only one that I’ve never given a lot of thought too is bringing a neutral to a colorful outfit. I had only thought of the reverse; bringing a color to a neutral outfit. I think that one goes to our individual personalities. I, like you, love color so many times neutrals don’t come to mind. Those that are a little scared of color tend to think only of neutral. Back to the “think opposite” motto. 😎 Love it! Thanks for bringing it to everyone’s attention.

Thanks Lisa! Great perspective. Sometimes it just helps to verbalize these ideas, even if we've been unconsciously using them for years. I agree that so much of this has to do with personal style! Well said!

I always pair casual with dressy pieces to keep away from feeling frumpy. Another pair of opposites.
