The founder of OLLO Audio, Rok Gulič explains flat frequency response for best translation of spatialized audio, the development process and the calibration plugin.

Translation of your stereo mix is tricky and spatial mix is even more complicated to get it right. The development started over 3 years ago and only now, with the 1.1 edition (calibrated version) reached its final stage with the USC calibration plugin.

Are those headphones also good for mixing normal stereo music? I am looking for a good Allround pair of headphones I can use with my synthesizer, on the DAW and sometimes maybe just for listening to music on my phone 😁

Of course, neutral response is always welcome. They have a tad more high end energy than optimal for stereo mixing but still work for stereo very well.

@@svenkund234 S4X for the balance in stereo. But if you mix using spatializers then s5x will deliver more consistently overall.

@@deanrobin9273 The S5X have better soundstage but they have a tad less bass response. Overall, S5X are a better headphone even for stereo only. Also, you likely mix plenty of hrtf based effects like spatializers, reverbs etc,..and s5x are made for that kind of signals,...

Nism vedu se v slo tud z spatial ukvarjamo =) Zadna leta se občasno poigravam z SXFi od Creative. Chip kot input dobi klasičn "channel based" surround/stereo, ob virtuaalizaciji se upošteva profil slušalk + profil ušesa (ga sceniraš) + EQ. Uglavnem, rad imam base, furam V-moda HPje na kere aplajam EQ da jih dam v "flat", ampak ob SXFi virtualizaciji filmov sm tudi sam kr hitro pršu do zaklučka da mi ob uporabi istega EQja premočen bas uničuje ta "spatial magic" =)

Jp...odziv slusalke za spatial mora bit drugacen kot soba, ker slusalka bazira vse na htrf jih, soba pac tega ne rabi emulirat. Sej se industrija pocasi strinja okrog tega, se par let pa bomo podobno uglasevali slusalke za spatial. Verjetno... :)

@@olloaudio Consumer slušalke bodo sam PC predvajalnikov nebo 😆😂 te z atmos licenco lahk na prst prešteješ, trik je če ni tega, se virtualizacija dela iz klasičnega channel based bistreama, kle pa kšni default audio decoderji v predvajalnikih še kr failajo v povezavi z DolbyForHP.
