I've watched Descendants 3, and I will say that the dialogue between Audrey and Queen Leah clearly reveals that Audrey failed in the task she was given(Marry Ben, Become Queen) by her family. Hell Leah basically tells her if Audrey could keep Ben interested in her, then he wouldn't be with Mal. The fact that this is happening as Ben proposes to Mal just makes it worse.

Audrey deserves to be the queen tbh. Mal put a spell on Ben but the spell broke after Ben went in the enchanted lake. Tbh it’s bens fault because he didn’t think about Audrey .

My real question is just how much influence did her actual parents have on her life? Where were was Aurora when her mother was filling her daughter's mind with all this vain, bad influence? Where were the fairy godmothers? I find it hard to believe they would've tolerated this type of behavior as they didn't raise Aurora this way. Did Aurora just let her mother partially raise Audrey in a way to make up for her missed time with Aurora?

Did anyone else get an ad for the new movie Descendants 3? I also think Audrey’s grandmother was involved and she is the reason why Audrey is the way she is. Here is my reasoning: Queen Lea didn’t get to raise her very own daughter (in the movie/animated film) so she took Audrey as her own daughter and taught her everything she wanted to teach her own daughter, so that means that Aurora would’ve turned out the same way as Audrey did (but luckily she didn’t). Then the story would fit together and the family would all be messed up. What I’m trying to explain is that it wasn’t just Queen Lea’s fault, it was also her mother (Queen Lea’s Mother/Audrey’s great grandma)because Queen Lea had to learn/get her behavior from someone in her family who taught her that being Queen/king was the most important thing in the world. Sorry if this was way to long.

Absolutely I've said it from the beginning the 1st book talks about how Aurora said her daughter would only know love and happiness never pain or anything bad. She wasn't even allowed to stub a toe. This does not allow one to build character or coping mechanisms. Then she gets dumped in front of the whole school that would be traumatic for anybody! Add Queen Leah's comments in D3 and Audrey was groomed to be a villain

Okay but Audrey just went with the flow and went with the selfish, entitled plans that her family had for her while the VKs were raised to steal, fight, take over the world yet became good. That shouldn't be overlooked, they had the absolute worst examples for parents and turned out good. Audrey didn't even try to be her own person, she was just an extension of hate. She was in a much better place to make the same earnest and honest choice that the VKs did. I don't feel sorry for her.

I really think the girl that played Audrey really enjoyed playing the villain. She was so good at it. Maximum camera mug, evil deeds... chad locked in a closet... My respect for the character shot up. It was so awesome. And great villain song. I wanted to punch the writers a few times but not here. I enjoyed that.

No she obviously loved Ben or else she wouldn't have got that upset about losing him and said about being taken advantage of ext like she said in 'Queen of Mean'. She was hurt because she did love him and he tossed her away like she meant nothing to him. That is why she quickly replaced him with someone new-that is a common thing-to rebound. She was using the other guy to get over losing Ben.

Think about it from Audrey’s point of view, not only did Mal come in and use a love potion on Ben, but Ben dumped her and professed his love for Mal in front of the whole school, and if that isn’t bad enough, Mal is the daughter of the villain who tried to kill her parents, surprised she wasn’t the villain in the first movie! I know we’re supposed to root for Mal but I feel bad for Audrey.. and Ben never apologized, nor did Mal. Bet u they will at the end of D3 lol

I like to think it was an arranged marriage since they were born until Ben fell in love with Mal. Ben's parents were "soft" and let Ben marry mal, making adureys family very angry. I think that Grammys been such a big influence that she's not even thinking for herself, doesn't love Ben at all, and preferred the good old days when they were just friends as children.

I wonder what Queen Leah would say when her granddaughter turned into the Queen of Mean. I guess anyone can be evil, despite their parents. And I'm completely for Audrey, I really hope she stops Ben and Mal's engagement, that's all I can hope for.

here's my theory...I think Queen Lea is to blame for Audrey. Going back to the animated film Sleeping Beauty where her Daughter was cursed and taken away from her and King Stefan By the fairies until her 16 bday. You did hear her when she met Mal and the other VK's at the parent day "So her first words, her first steps....I..MISSED..IT..ALL!!" It left a very bad emotional scar on her (which I'm sure it would do to any parent to miss their childs first everything). Of course she was reunited with Aurora and happy again. When Aurora announced her pregnancy and gave birth to Audrey I'm sure Queen Lea was thrilled and overcome with emotion. To her she had a second chance to make up what she missed with her daughter Aurora with Audrey. This time she saw Audrey's first steps, heard her first words and her first curtsey (which I'm sure was too adorable) the very things she missed with Aurora. Unlike Aurora who was raised by the fairies with grace, elegance and politeness...I'm sure Queen Lea helped raised Audrey but she raised her how she would have raised Aurora. I'm sure all the Royal Disney families had their kingdoms until Belle and Beast created the United states of Auradon and became the leaders of it. When it comes to love I'm sure Aurora and Philip tried to teach Audrey to marry for love like they did (even though they where betrothed when they where kids but it eventually worked out in the end for both of them since they didn't know each others royal statuses and Aurora didnt know she was a Princess until that night back at the castle). Queen Lea was different and believed in arrange marriages to other royalists to expand power, land, statuses and alliances. What you guys think??

I feel like this was stated in the movie without being stated. All the clues are there if you are REALLY looking and listening. And as for the whole dating Chad RIGHT after she was humiliated...she was hurt. People do things when they're hurt and Audrey is no exception. I don't think she was using Chad as a safety net...but more of a shoulder to lean on...or a punching bag for anger.
