The Sad Reality Of Mozambique that they don't talk about was shown to us in today's video. We had a lot of difficulty finding a near by hospital in Tofu, and we ended taking local transport for 40 minutes to yambane, Mozambique because there was no hospital in our town. We than had no other choice but to see the doctor at the government hospital, which as you can imagine was a nightmare, and the treatment's did not work. The next day when my friend was even more sick we did find a solution, watch to see what happened. One love

Really a bummer that your friend got sick where good medical care is hard to find. Especially when you're having such a great time in a beautiful country. But stuff happens. Not taking daily malaria meds: In the middle of a year tour in Southeast Asia I stopped taking my daily orange malaria tablet, as a result I got malaria. Take your meds.

hi Josey I spent 3 mouths in South Africa this year and yes if you get sick travelling by yourself it can be difficult you and friend are beautiful kind people God bless you

Your friend needed some IV fluids and rest for a couple days with some proper medication. The situation is similar in the USA. You can go to a areas where there are no hospitals for hours but you can usually find a small clinic to help with fevers, COVID, broken bones, snake bites, spider bites, etc.

If you are rich, everything is easier. Not just in Africa.

@@andersson.l.e yeah, but the difference is much bigger in poorer countries. Many countries have basically free healthcare due to taxes

Unfortunately, if you can't afford a private hospital in Africa, you're good bye. Going to a government one is just a waste of time and worsening your situation 😢

Its probably the malaria tabs thats makeing him sick ...' stick to the local meds & hydrate hydrate...' keep to fresh food ...

I'm lucky that I've never been seriously injured or gotton sick when travelling overseas. I had food poisoning and dengue in Nicaragua and last year in Uganda I got COVID... right after our kwanjula! But I survived.
