This pissed me the hell off. Jubilee is fucking loaded. $2000 is nothing- especially when it’s split up. And Jubilee decided that this was entertainment. Fuck capitalism.

This is such a cruel game, forcing them to vote someone off. Having them determine who was most in need, seeing them making their decisions on who to give the money to. And seeing that girl cry was heartbreaking.

I was cheering so hard when Kat advocated so much for Destiny. This game is messed up but seeing someone immediately trying to rig it in favour of the most vulnerable among them was so awesome, she definitely led the others well.

Reading the comments on the original video genuinely made me feel queasy. The amount of victim blaming being heaped on Destiny because she has tattoos/piercings, cried, was a woman, and mentioned she relapsed (which some people assumed the cause of, as if that's possible or in any way their business) is so fucking depressing. Also people getting mad at Kat for "making the game boring"?? This truly is the darkest timeline

i really applaud kat for being so selfless during the whole thing. most people on these shows will do anything to prove why they should get it, even if it's something so miniscule. but she just even admitted she wanted destiny to win through and through and was perfectly ok when she was voted off.

This game was overly cruel. Seeing that girl break down was hard. She wanted the money but felt so guilty she could hardly speak up after round 1.

I think it is criminal how much addicts get punished for relapsing and needing medical care. This pushes people further into poverty making them homeless and/or more likely to use in order to cope and from increased access. People, especially people as young as Destiny, deserve better.

It actually is a perfect representation of capitalism because there's a fucker standing off screen who could give them all a cart of these bars telling crying Zoomers to fight each other instead.

Obviously, all of this is awful in every way. But you know what might be the most infuriating? Jubilee probably could have paid off all of Destiny's medical debt twice over from the revenue on this video alone. Instead, they chose to profit off of the desperation of these kids. Gahhhh I hate it.

Jubilee should have given everyone a certain amount of money per brick they had, but add a huge twist of not paying people for the bricks they gave themselves. They should have also given a prize for the person who was the biggest advocate of others and who offered to have their bricks taken away. I realize good people don't expect rewards from doing nice things, but Kat carried this episode and deserved something for being so genuine. This would reward the selfless people and the people who needed it and the game would not be over basically after the first round due to one person who very clearly needed it the most.

My biggest issue with these is that the whole concept is mote than just humiliating: telling people the darkest parts of your life (to squeeze out any semblance of sympathy from them), getting voted out, and losing money that was supposed to be life changing even though it would probably barely cover their rent. Not only are you setting people up for a huge disappointment, but youre putting it online. It feels so fucking inhumane to be like "look at these stupid adults, half of them cant even afford day to day life."

We been this forever. Let's be entertained by the poors plight. You want to check out a messed up show which would be the grandmother to this show, it was called Queen for a Day. It ran from 1940 to 1964, and the basic premise of the show is mothers would plead there case and basically who ever had the worst horror story would win. Things like having a wheelchair for your kid, to just being able to call your deployed husband. The poor are not props, they are not to be fetishized and have their pain be turned into poverty porn. If you are going to turn us into porn you could at least be paying us more for your perverse torture porn you force us to be a part of. Something I learned recently is that the word relapsed can be used for a ton of things. Mental health, commonly but even diseases & illnesses like cancer. Most people assume drugs or alcohol when they hear relapse, but we really don’t know. Regardless, I would not have even used that word had I been in her position because of the stigma, which is fucking sad and horrible & speaks to how shitty and judgemental our society is.

Why can't they just give everyone the $2000. Yes. Even Luis. Entertainment is a human necessity too.

This reminds me of a game show I played at uni with my friend. We were seniors, winning by a mile against some freshman. When asked what we’d do with the $1000, my friend and I said pay rent. The freshman said party. I guess we were too honest and gave the wrong answer because the game show host immediately switched the games to things the freshman would be better at. Something like identifying a fad from two years ago that happened for many high schoolers. This was before tik tok btw, so my friend and I would not know unless we had younger siblings. Anyway, we fought hard but eventually lost. I had never in my life been angry for losing a game and I have never been angry about losing a game since.

This video is just sad. We see a bunch of people who are being put down by the terrible capitalistic America we live in and being exploited by Cut for views. People shouldn't have to argue with others about who has it worse off. America should actually take care of it's people and provide things like universal healthcare and liveable wages and free college education if you choose to pursue that.

This reminds me of a show that came out on Netflix where a group of people compete to earn a "life changing" amount of money. And the show wasn't trying to say that having people fight for their lives for others entertainment is a good thing.

So Charlie's argument did actually make sense based on the words everyone said making it sounds like more bricks is more money(which I don't think that's how it works but it sounds like they think it does) So if that is how they see it the people with bricks get 2 bricks and people without get 0 Then if all 7 have a brick 14 bricks are given next round and 14 bricks are given to destiny next round + the 5 left over bricks for a total of 19 Versus just giving everything to Destiny immediately is 8 bricks that round and 8 bricks the next round for only 16

16:30 There ARE a lot of taxes for game show winnings, BUT if your prize is entirely cash they just take the tax out of the cash. So it's not like you have to pay $300 in tax, they just take tax from the winnings so you get $700 instead of $1000 after paying $300. Depending on the state there may be additional taxes that are taken out, which sucks. I think California is one of the states that doesn't take a lot of extra tax out, though?
