This is really a treat. I have never forgiven myself for having to go somewhere else and missed the original telecast (and even in COLOR.) To me, it's obvious that Sammy Davis Jr. really loved, admired and respected Judy Garland. (You will notice that every song in this medley was either one of her old hits, or a song from one of her movies.) I saw Sammy here in New Orleans in 1976. He was an awesome, incredible entertainer ... and of couse, Judy, well she's just the ULTIMATE!

OMG! As soon as I started watching this clip, I was transported back to my childhood. I totally remember watching this, sitting on the floor in front of our big Philco stereo console TV. Thanks for posting!

I grew up with a Philco TV as well. My father sold them. They were a big deal back in the day.

They have the masters in color, they were supposed to be on DVD, but maybe negotiations maybe fell through...I will look and find out what's happening. .

I wonder why can't we see nor purchase his full show? He had Frank Sinatra's son on there & one of my personally favorite Barbara McNair.

Barbara McNair was really great. I didn't know anyone still remembered her .. I'm glad they still do. She was beautiful, and a great singer and actress.
