Talk about bittersweet! Those moments between father and son were quite touching and well done. I was legitimately sad during their final parting. I was hoping Roland's sword would be restored and become magical in that moment, so in a way Simon's father would always be with him, protecting him.

That moment between Simon and his father as he was bringing him to rest at the bottom of that gorge was so real to me and touching. Truly remarkable. I love your work. The way you are able to improvise such a rich story and describe scenes in such a way that they makes one feel a certain way... It’s as if I’m there with them. You’re a big inspiration to me.

I'm a solo D&D player these days (because of time constraints, principally) - so my opinion is clearly biased. However I think this is way better than CR, even though I do think they are still fun to watch. For me, this is on another level of creativity. I love the ad. lib. element to it, even though I realise the show is edited. Trevor, please keep it up!!

[20:20] That moment when Roland lost his clarity and regressed mentally hurt me so much. My great-grandmother suffered from dementia before she passed away. One of the most treasured moments of my life was when she randomly called my Ma and I to talk to us. She remembered everything, even asking me if I still ate Life Cereal, which she got me addicted. She asked me about University and my Ma about her college degree. When the phone line ended, we just looked at each other and wept, appreciating how God gave us one more moment to share with her at 100%.

Oh man, this could have been resolved in such a simple, straightforward way, but your storytelling and acting skills brought so much emotion. I think it means something if people are moved over a video where you talk to yourself over imaginary, improvised stories. Just woah... In the comments for previous episodes, you mentioned that Edbert's dream was one of the things you were most proud of in Season 1. I think the Simon and Roland thread deserves that same recognition.

Awesome use of visual effects, and music and dramatic sense are right on as usual. This is really top notch stuff. Doesn't always go the way I would go with it, which is good. For instance, I probably would have ruled Cherelyn almost definitely shows up about then, but then might have been denied the effect of the last scene. Its also refreshing to have a plot not go exactly the way I predict it will at every turn (another reason I want to add Mythic to my GM toolbox). And I would have been at a total loss about Simon's parents, but you went right for magic healing herbs. How do they do it? I don't know, its magic, I don't need to know how it happened, just that it happened. You think the inhabitants of this world know how? Of course not! That's why the necromancer was so interested. This is turning out to be a great ride.

One thing that might be decent to alleviate this is to have the characters have crisscrossing backgrounds like how Traveller RPG does it. I think that would work very well with a random event starting like how episode 1 of this very series started. Two good ways working in concert that can definitely avoid the tired tavern, though that always has its moments (almost a rite of passage for some!). :)

It's almost unbelivable how engaging a story you have created by using simple random tools and your own creativity and enthusiasm, I feel sad that only two hours of content left from this season (which, I assume will be the end of the story of Simon ad co before you start a new sheet using Iron Sworn - I'm excited about that too!) Being close to someone with dementia makes this whole situation with Roland hit a lot harder. I'm glad the dice gods were, indeed, on Simon's side this time (well, except maybe for the whole "almost losing Stone Bolt to a mudslide" incident), and the first of two major threads has finally been resolved in a satisfying manner. Now, about the second major thread, I did watch the Mythic GME 2e review like two and a half weeks ago, before I started watching this series, and I do remember hearing something about Simon "pursuing a killer in town" while you were talking about how exciting it is for solo roleplayers to not know what's coming up next, so that's definitely something for me to look forward to!

I love his norse accent which I think has clarified from its Norse-German-Slavic beginnings 😁 Still I would see a Finnish inspired character, let's say Kauko, with a Finnish accent the likes of Halfdan or his brother Harald Finehair in Vikings (Jasper Pääkkönen, the actor playing Halfdan has a much clearer Finnish accent of the two).

I suspect that had I been playing this myself, I probably would have stopped the camera at some point, as I would likely have become emotional at freeing Roland. And if I was a professional actor whose job it is to embody the character I'm playing, it probably would have been worse. I doubt that I would be comfortable sitting there, crying in front of my subscribers. 😔
