Warning that "American democracy in endangered," Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday proposed a constitutional amendment to overturn a Supreme Court ruling that allowed unrestricted and secret campaign spending by corporations on U.S. elections. The first constitutional amendment ever proposed by Sanders during his two decades in Congress would reverse the narrow 5-to-4 ruling in Citizens United vs. the Federal Elections Commission.

Bernie Sanders 2016!!!! There are 535 members of Congress and yet Sen. Sanders uniquely stands out as a genuine, people's representative with a history and track record to back him up. It is pathetic that we are in this state of politics. VOTE SANDERS, educate yourselves, and get engaged! Change comes when each of us decides to play a role no matter how small. It all adds up.

I'm not American, but if I were I would relocate to Vermont just to vote for Senator Sanders. What happens in America, for better or worse, has a trickle-down effect on the rest of the Western world. May Senator Sanders receive the support he deserves to pass this constitutional amendment in defense of the real flesh-and-blood people of your nation!

this is absolutely increadible. this is the beginning of something HUGE. people will start to notice this. the news however, will not show this and little talk about this will be in the mainstream. we as people need to spread the word of this the best we can. Brilliant

Write letters and make calls, send tweets, or whatever else you can do to spread the vision of this video. This needs to pass. Citizens United was an absolutely terrible decision, probably the worst of my lifetime. Anything that overturns that is great in my book. Power to the people (which excludes corporations).

Ok so the supreme court has basically ruled that the act of offering a bribe is protected by the 1st amendment (if you are rich) but shouldn't it still be highly illegal for a public official to ACCEPT a bribe especially when there are obvious conflicts of interest happening? Maybe this is the angle we need to investigate.

I believe that we can do it because though I wasn't born during many corruptive years in USA history, I am alive and well and able to fight for what is right for generations after me. people incorparate so as to not be a person ,the corprate vail can not be penetrated .The ruling by the court is a bald faced lie and the justices should step down now.We are a republic a country of laws not men or women and we have the right to vote for our public servants ,let us use that to correct our problems,but the people first must be educated and in agreement with the intent of our Republic.

One of the things that is often overlooked is the screwing the stockholders - theoretically the owners of the corporations - are getting screwed here. Not only can a corporation contribute to candidates and causes not supported by stockholders, but the stockholders themselves are not even entitled to know where THEIR money is going. This is a disgrace to America.

I hope this man stays in the Senate until he drops, we need him. I just can't believe he hasn't been challenged by the 1% yet, doesn't seem like it would be that hard to spend a few million calling him a socialist. We shall see.
