I think France is slightly overrated in the media. We’re only amongst the favorites but not more than England, Portugal or home Germany. Spain to check as well. Also our starting eleven is great but lack in depth in some positions. Especially Griezmann who is more essential than Mbappé. Plus we often rely on individual performances, discipline and a bit of luck to go to the end rather than Deschamps’ tactics. When we see ourselves too good, there’s always a harsh return to reality !

I disagree, France’s international abilities are well above that of the rest of the world imo. Sure other countries can provide a challenge, but the only team I definitely think is better is Argentina, and the only team I think is on France’s level is England (this is in terms of talent I think SouthGate will ruin any chance England has against a big team), however France’s team is a top 2 in talent in the world, and their manager is also top 2 in the world internationally. If france doesn’t at least make it to the semis I’d view it as a massive underachievement for the team.

Imo, if either France or England don’t at least make the final I’d view it as a massive underachievement. I view both teams as being well above the rest of Europe in terms of talent and one of them should be making the final.

A good defense is the key to winning a competition and we don't have (French) a strong enough defense unfortunately. BTW in the WC 2002 we have the best Ligue 1 (Cissé), Serie A (Trezeguet) and PremierLeague (Henry) strickers and and we didn't score a single goal. Each competition has its history.

Saying Kolo Muani Mbappé and Dembélé know each other well is kinda wrong considering how little Kolo Muani played this year for PSG and how bad he performed overall. I doubt the 3 will play together as it didn't work out at PSG.
