If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There’s a long history of people selling random pills, lotions, and gadgets that claim to cure all known diseases. One of the latest examples is mythical healing devices called “Med Beds.” In online conspiracy circles, videos discussing these devices weave together tales of aliens and secret government cover ups. But beyond the conspiracy theories are vulnerable people falling for unproven treatments or bogus medical devices.
The Internet has ushered in an era of information overload, but it comes at a cost and ‘the truth’ is more subjective and contested than ever before. In ‘Alternate Reality’, we examine corners of the internet where conspiracy theories about the world have started to have a real impact on society.

Just a tiny side note on one of the clips. Hummingbirds have a superfast heartrate when active. But after sleeping they need some time to get that heartrate back up before they can fly. So that woman probably just found a sleeping bird and woke it up.

Same with small mammals. As a child in England, me and my friends caught countless pygmy shrews. They would display very similar behaviour/reaction as the humming bird did in this video. And believe me - at 7-8 years old in the late 70s, we had no magical "canisters" or whatever. Its disgusting how this hummingbird clip was used to "back up" snake oil

Another likely possibility is that the hummingbird may have flown into a window and was in shock then came to and flew away. I have seen that happen with birds before that have hit windows.

@@Yessicuhhh Yes, agreed. I also have seen birds (not hummingbirds as im in Britain, but sparrows, starlings and others) do this very thing. I think Jessica, that the point we agree on is that there are other more rational explanations for this happening than "magical Q-Anon canisters"

@@tmtoymanufacturer Was this a jab poking piece? How many Americans knew about Qanon before January 6th? How many Americans knew about Qanon before the pizzagate shooting? This is actually far more legitimate reporting than mainstream media reporting of Doom, Marilyn Manson, and other moral panics of the 80s and 90s. See when a mentally ill person says something crazy you assume it's an independent delusion. When Vice informs you the delusion is actually a nationwide or even global problem with grifters perpetuating it; now you must take it seriously.

If only the test for IQ were actually effective. I don’t put much faith in it. I was tested at 9, and one of the questions really made me suspicious of the validity of the test. They showed me an image, that I was allowed to view for a short time, and was then told to recreate it, which I did perfectly. I’m an artistic person! That seemed unfair. I came out with an IQ of 146, which at the time, likely was true, for whatever it’s worth. After years behaving like a knucklehead, I’m pretty sure I’ve managed to burn a few points. But heck, experience is more useful in day to day life, anyway. All that ultimately mattered was the ability to adapt and survive a dangerously damaging family life, and always use critical thinking when it really mattered.

I believe our governments are withholding highly consequential information relating to scientific progress. Consider for one moment their current stance on UAP's. UFOs have been present in our skies for decades. Any suggestion that the phenomenon is only now, after all these years, being taken seriously...is UTTER GARBAGE. Therefore, either our governments know from where the craft originate or the tech, in fact, belongs to us. In each scenario, the government are complicit in our deception. Granted, "med-beds" are likely a massive reach. However, if you believe medical breakthroughs, made by big pharma et al, are never surpressed to protect established interests, you've clearly not been paying attention. If more of fair-minded people challenged government narrative in cases where they've clearly mislead us, less folk would fall victim to Q-related BS 😅

Putting med beds in conjunction with QAnon and Aliens is just another smear tactic to make people oblivious to the fact that Royal Raymond Rife invented med beds in the 30s that functioned using simple principles of cymatics. All of his work was smeared and discredited by the Rockefeller Allopathic/Pharmaceutical industrial complex and their corrupted government, media and academic lackies. Why? Because western medicine is a multi - billion dollar racket and the greatest asset at the disposal of Globalists pushing for eugenics and population control. My brother has stage 4 renal failure due to an enlarged prostate that crushed his kidneys. He doesn't trust doctors and tried to treat the enlarged prostate himself. He ended up in the hospital for weeks but didn't have to go on dialysis. He was lucky then and the doc said he needed to have his prostate removed. He refused and fast forward a couple years he ended up in the hospital again with renal failure. He's now on dialysis. He still refuses to have his prostate removed, and have a kidney transplant. All this because he's positive the med beds he and his wife have been saying are on the horizon for three years, are just around the corner, and he will then be completely cured. Waiting for the fictional med bed is literally killing him and there's nothing anyone can do about it. He's proud of himself for having all this "knowledge" that the rest of us don't have.😐

Last I looked (2014) the US government had an entry level security officer job that paid $90,000...at a nuclear power plant. The 90K price tag is more than convincing people to spend 40 hours a week in proximity of a nuclear device. It's also about attracting people with the intelligence to recognize when they're being recruited and able to think logically and critically. Although education does not directly teach logic and critical thinking (it should), these are skills and knowledge required for all security/police personnel. As an autistic person, I simply love it when people rejoice over some miracle cure that will get rid of cancer and of... me? I don't have a disease; it's literally who I am. The only way to get rid of my autism is to kill me... I guess they're confusing Med Beds and Ded Beds 🤷‍♀

There's a huge market opportunity here for some company to directly profit by feeding these people the products they think are real. It makes me wonder how valuable their keywords are. Why is the word "medbed" in their lexicon, even...because it rhymes and is a portmanteau that includes the word "medical"? It feels like it's straight out of Judge's movie, Idiocracy.

Cringe. Imagine loving a propaganda hit piece outlet funded by George Soros and other globalist tyrants. Putting med beds in conjunction with QAnon and Aliens is just another smear tactic to make people oblivious to the fact that Royal Raymond Rife invented med beds in the 30s that functioned using simple principles of cymatics. All of his work was smeared and discredited by the Rockefeller Allopathic/Pharmaceutical industrial complex and their corrupted government and academic lackies. Why? Because western medicine is a multi - billion dollar racket and the greatest asset at the disposal of Globalists pushing for eugenics and population control. Wake up dummy.

Well yes obviously... Except two things: Capitalism thrives with a permanent underclass Systemic racism and perpetuating racist beliefs creates an underclass ironically from all races The New Deal during and after WWII created programs that ensured housing and middle class employment for all... If you were White. That meant there was a permanent underclass generated by economic suppression and/or withholding support from all non-Whites. After the height of the American Civil Rights movement politicians began pushing austerity measures and people were dumb enough to vote for it because a certain "segment of society" was using the social safety net disproportionately. This is part two: systemic racism and perpetuating racist beliefs cancelled or greatly reduced much of America's safety net. This in turn created an underclass ironically, from all races that fell to the ground, because the social safety net is not there. Welcome to America

I went to a friends party during 2021, and we were the only ones wearing a mask and social distancing. Everyone else ridiculed my choices, and it was my friend’s uncle who started berating about ivermectin, literally a week after it became widely known of its dangerous effects. We both tried to warn him but he seriously didn’t care nor wish to look at the evidence. Five days later, the party caught COVID and friend’s uncle went to the ER for stomach issues. Gee, I wonder what happened.

I gotta say that I ADORE plausible fantastical science fiction involving Nicola Tesla (especially ones that involve Nazi's and coilguns), but it's insulting to hear something this stupid attributed to the man, when "med beds" are about as likely attributed to Tesla as they are to Shriner's Children Hospitals. Although, I would LOVE to see someone make a live remake of Roujin Z, not only to see a med bed turn into a mecha that starts destroying a city, but also to hear about the inevitable conspiracy hypotheses that would ensue, and the number of idiots purposefully injuring themselves to they can be the first in their neighborhood to get treated on a "med bed."
