Macken Murphy joins us this epic 2-hour podcast, Macken is a scientist at the University of Melbourne where he studies human mating behavior. In this video we are discussing a variety of issues:
What makes humans "attractive", how do we pursue the opposite sex, why are women obsessed with the height of a man, the reason why women are more selective and why it is so important for them to do so.
Macken claims that there is scientific evidence that cheating can be passed down from your parents, meaning that it could be hereditary.

Macken dismissed the nonsensical conversation of 'body count' and why both genders can actually be at a disadvantage if they sleep with more people.

What Macken is saying is that both women AND men have a short window of mating opportunity because as they age, the opposite sex finds them less physically attractive. This makes evolutionary sense, as the reproductive advantage of both sexes diminishes as they age.

This dude is spot on. I have dabbled into researching this topic from a scientific perspective(so actually looking at published research or stats online) for the past year and he’s nailing it. These redpill dudes will paint false pictures based on half truths which makes men focus on the wrong aspects of dating, and make them resentful and distrusting of most women.

Women generally like tall men, but we also LOVE a short king (he’s short, funny, kind, ally to women). Women generally like muscular men, but we also LOVE a dad bod as long as he treats us with respect. Women have a million things we are vocally and secretly insecure about, we stick needles in our face once a month spend thousands on skin care and hair products etc etc, just to look our best… the stakes are so high,,, all we are asking for is empathy from gentleman allies. About the difference in what can be said... It's actually pretty simple- Gals determine what is appropriate/desirable (for both men and women to want), and Men are expected to follow it. So Men's wants are surfaced by reflection- a woman catering to a male base, or a gal with such a trait putting it forward as attractive. It can then get ratified by the group- the first defector problem. There's a mirror to this- the 'where do we eat' problem. In that everyone is more comfortable if a guy proposes it, then the group ratifies it. Same diff, only reversed.

@@sherriflemming3218 By mate, do you mean 'ally' or do you mean one night stand? If you look at the lit (on why pair bonds form within tribes- look to gibbons), you need an ally to help keep other women off your back- in order to feel safe having kids. So yeah, you totally need to find someone that other gals think highly of. That need seems to supersede what ya'll find hot. Qualities of a good partner lists are self fulfilling prophecies. Ultimately you need other women to approve of your use of your body. What qualities those are varies by situation. You just need enough status between the two of you to justify family. Men don't need to think about that. I'm not sure one is more discerning than another. Just different. The one night stand criteria is about the same regardless of gender. It's just harder for a girl to give in to what they want.

Do they day say that? Honestly most RP followers are struggling to date women in their 20s that’s literally what leads them to the RP so advice about “not settling down too young” seems misplaced. It's called "moving the goal posts". They're changing the definition of 'pair bond'. In one definition they're emphasizing the verb nature of 'bond', in the other they're treating it as a noun. I.e., in the first example they claim that a woman forming lots of new relationships with new men shows that she's pair bonding by forming a new pair bond with each of these new men, which, of course is utter hogwash. The other definition, which makes more sense, is that when there is an 'extra pair coupling' (EPC), i.e., cheating, the pair bond is broken. To avoid this kind of semantic contortion, you should use the phrase "maintain/preserve the pair bond [against interlopers]."

Good video but Idk about it being tough to be a woman in the dating scene. You know when it comes to dating it’s easier for a woman to find a mate than a man. "It`s easier for women to find a mate than for men". This statement doesn`t make any sense. There is ONE woman starting a relationship with ONE man. The exact same moment a woman starts dating a man, one man who supposedly has it harder found a relationship with this woman. What you are maybe referring to is that it`s easier for an average woman to find a man who just wants to fuck her than for an average man to find an affair with an attractive woman, yes. But that`s affairs and one-night-stands, not "finding a mate".

It's not that a gal has the burden of being pregnant. It's that her choice to reproduce will be judged by every other girl. The pregnancy fills limited slots within the tribe, that could have been filled with one of her friends' kids. And they will judge her for it.

Ohh boy... where to start with this one. First - toting "a real scientist" might work for those who are unfamiliar with how modern "science" works, especially in psychology, but the reality is this guy is simply pushing "his persepective". As a young, intelligent, tatooed guy in shape, I'm not surprised he has the beliefs he does. In short, he's wrong on several points and is mis-construing things. For example, that it's "easier" to date in you twenties. Using "old" data, from say, my generation (born in 77) will give you very false information. He makes many assumptions that are clearly debunked and not supported in real life. For example, that what women put on a study or answer is often much much different than what they actually DO. Women respond to a masculine man. His statement that women want a man that is physically attractive and closer to their age is true. You ask them on a survey, they will tell you this. YET, in reality, when they talk to this good looking guy their age they ARE NOT INTERESTED in him, once he opens his mouth. Why? He's lacks the other crucial qualities that many "red-pillers" talk about: being a leader (takes time to learn), building a empire (takes time and experience), etc. This guy simply takes a response from a study and fails to look any deeper. He's got quite a bit to learn and is suffering from his on confirmation bias. This is really another false attempt to discredit the Red Pill. Not that it matters much though... he'll learn the truth from life itself. Futher, he does confirm that this is the case "in the west"... hmm... I wonder why he just ignores other parts of the world or data that conflicts with the points he wishes to make: Why does he do this? Confirmation bias. The guy has lots of work to do to improve his "scientific" conclusions. Get back to work dude... you can do better.
