I’m 32 and I still get deja vu, at least 2-3 times a month. There’s only been a handful of times where I’ve been able to stop someone mid sentence and finish what they were about to say or know immediately that someone I know was about to call me/predict a song on the radio, etc, but every time it happens, even on a lesser scale, it does leave me deeply unsettled. I used to think it was really cool, now it just makes me frustrated lol. AM I A TIME LORD OR NOT, BRAIN?

Yall, deja vu is different and precognitive dreams are different. For me, Deja vu usually is perceived as a quick fleeting moment that has some how managed to creep in my head. It all has to be the exact right place at the exact right time. I experience and have experienced it quite a alot and only those seconds of that moment, is like a scene that has already happened before in past, but now only that scene has been repeated.

I have experience so many deja vus in my life. But, the craziest of all is that I was back to home from school, sitting in my chair and randomly felt a feeling that I have lived this moment before in 2021 (this happened in 2022). I didn't think much of it until thing became more familiar. My mom called me for snacks. I felt strange that I have lived this moment so I tried to test it. I tried to predict what my mom got me for snacks, I predicted donuts to see if I am really living that moment. And I was surprised the way my mom made the donut, same amount, same flavour and everything. I was really confused that day.

I actually don’t have dreams before hand of an upcoming experience, like many of the people in the comments say they do. Normally the deja vu is not about a conversation but rather a moment or a view. Recently, I went on a hike with my family and when we reached the top of the mountain and looked out on the water, I felt a strong sense of deja vu. I was hit with a wave of dizziness and the feeling I had been there before. I turned to my mom and said “I just experienced deja vu” and as soon as I speak about it, the feeling is gone. Next time I experience it, I plan on not saying anything and seeing if the moment lasts longer. I think my exclamation of the feeling cuts the moment short and I don’t get to experience the whole effects of deja vu.

Recently turned 24, been experiencing Deja vu for as far back as I can recall. It happens extremely randomly. It typically is a super innocuous moment. And I don't feel like I know what's going to happen. I usually merely feel like I'm seeing a moment through my own eyes that I've seen before. Most recently my wife's uncle died and shortly before the service we were driving somewhere and I stopped mid-sentence and said to her, ive seen this moment. I even remember the thought of death in the back of my mind. She doesn't get deja vu ever.

I find my most frequent source of déjà vu is the fact that I have very vivid dreams every night and they are sometimes very pedestrian in content. (For example I have a recurring dream where I am at a convention center and I need to take a train home.) So it’s not completely out of the norm for me to dream having a particular conversation with a friend, and then end up having an extremely similar conversation in real life.

I suffered from epilepsy when I was younger and that Deja Vu feeling served as a warning that a fit was coming, it was scary but it helped me prepare and alert my parents. Thankfully I rarely experience Deja Vu and I haven't had any fits since I was 17 but having experienced fits and other related problems to epilepsy (disassociation and temporary memory loss) it just shows how much we don't understand about our own brains. Admittedly, I still kind of like the past life idea just because it so much more exciting that just confused wiring in the brain!

i have deja vu almost every night and majority of the time it is through dreams and typically of places, whether it be places i will physically go to, places in movies, or video games. whenever i see these places it’s always random and it could be in the next hour, day, week, month, or even year. there were a couple instances where i predict conversations and there once was an instance where i was watching a video and during a certain part i was able to say the line the person was going to say before they even said it! and this video was posted that day an hour before i watched it so there was no way i could have seen the video before. deja vu is scary

When I have déjà vu 90% of the time I remember why I have had it, for example, normally I will have a dream about a situation and it is a vivid dream sometimes the situations or areas are unfamiliar and all of a sudden I will find myself in that situation having déjà vu and I will remember I had a dream about this specific situation or place. Also I am almost 30 and I have had more spouts of déjà vu in. The last 2 years then I have ever had in my entire life.

It's more than visual. I'm epileptic and the feeling deja Vu extends to audio and situational cues. The trigger to the seizure for me is when you predict what was going to happen next, or what someone was going to say and they say it. The two neural pathways makes sense, if it could apply to audio cues as well.

I have gotten it regularly since I was little and it’s never been like a long feeling or hazy. It’s been very short, extremely sharp. I don’t think it comes from doing something similar because I feel like I know what’s about to happen before it happens. I don’t think it’s spiritual either. I read somewhere years ago that it was one side of ur brain working slower than the other. Even if this isn’t the explanation I think it has to be something similar.

32 and I still get deja vu. It happens less intensely as before, but when I had episodes of deja vu I would almost black out. I had several MRI & CT scans done on my brain and they've never found anything. During episodes of deja vu, I would feel the need to run away from the event unfolding before me. Not because it was dangerous. My instincts would kick in and I would feel like I needed to get away in order to avoid passing out, so I would leave the situation, thus stopping what I "knew" was going to happen. It was completely alarming to feel this way. I was 17 and had no idea what was going on or why it was happening. It was chalked up to me just wanting attention and I never got to seek medical testing beyond just the two scans. Eventually, one time, I let myself succumb to the events playing out and I did pass out. When I woke up, the people I was with (my school mates from college) were concerned and told me I looked paler than paper and I had to go to the doctor on campus. After that, the episodes came less intensely, but I still feel them at least 2 times a month. I don't feel like passing out, but I definitely feel weird about it all happening. lol

I also receive messages from family, that have crossed over, in my dreams & I've had paranormal experiences when awake.
