Suit up for classic comedy! Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take a chance on going freelance, de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. As soon as they open their doors, their first order of business becomes saving beautiful cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and nerdy Louis Tully (Rick Moranis), who’ve inadvertently opened the gates of hell… right in their own apartment building!
Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), (Egon Spengler) Harold Ramis, and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take up their proton packs once more to battle the forces of evil in Manhattan! After waging a war on slime that cost New York City millions, the Ghostbusters find themselves out of business until an ancient tyrant, preparing a return to the Earthly domain through his portrait at the Manhattan Museum of Modern Art, sets his sights on Dana Barrett's baby as the new home for his wicked soul! With the help of the Museum's possessed curator, he plans to turn New York into a really scary place to live! Now only the Ghostbusters can save New York City, by turning paranormal pest control into an art form!

Ikr? Science is wonderful, isn't it? Especially when in use when dealing with ghosts. My favorite part in Ghostbusters 2 is where Egon and Ray are are scanning the photos of Vigo and when they come out and are hung up, they see that the painting does have an evil "living presence" ( figuratively speaking since spirits are not really living.) in it.

It's not written by real comedians with a passion for the paranormal, therefore it cannot possibly. This is written by genius level comedians who actually study the subject matter and they are playing two of the main characters, it literally can't be replicated in the current industry. Not to mention the genius improvisers they have as friends in Murray and Moranis.

RIP HAROLD RAMIS, such a great actor in all the roles he played, but Egon would have to be one of his best " I collect spores, molds & fungus" one of my favorite ghostbusters line from the movie, his portrayal of the character is one of best in movie history.

Well Egon miniaturized a nuclear accelerator into a portable backpack, and Doc Brown turned a DeLorean into nuclear-powered time machine. Basically they'd invent a time machine you could wear on your back that wouldn't need you to go 88 miles per hour.

So is the girl with the puppy actually Egons daughter? Afterlife & interviews with the director suggests Egon had a daughter at the time of Ghostbusters 2 & they clearly became estranged later (which would be expected if he was experimenting on her like this throughout her childhood).

I like Harold R's portrayal of Egon but weirdly, ' his' voice in the original cartoon didn't sound quite as deep, but no big deal. I still like how he interacts with the others, subtle signs of amusement and I like his reaction to Dana kissing him and Jeanine hugging him out of concern for both him and Louis Tully. I like how she and Louis connect in part II, in more ways than one, ahem! Sorry, folks! Just trying to keep it clean!
