Blurryink No such thing as “racial traits” as races don’t exist in nature, Many people from Asian have similar shaped noses to African people and the vast majority of African people don’t have “thick” lips. There are many non-African people who have full lips. People have been selective in talking about “racial” traits yet no one talks about the shape of an ear or size of the big toe, shape of the brow. What’s racial about the “lips” but not the “eyebrow” or “toe”? Race is simply a socio-political term. The continent of Africa contains the most genetic diversity than all continents combined. People only continue to “see” race because people assign HUGE MEANING to INSIGNIFICANT difference to physical traits. All human beings have the EXACT same alleles (ACGT) and due to environmental pressures, the result is different in the expression of genes. Nothing more and nothing less.

Khosians of Africa look Asian except for darker skin tone and woolly hair. They also have monolids like Asians. There are traits that are more prevalent in one group than another, but it does not mean another "race" of people cannot have that trait though. But obviously the trait that was more beneficial to a particular environment would become more prevalent than a trait that was not beneficial. This is why blacks have tropical limbs, different to whites who have bones structures that benefited them in their cold environment or Asians in their environment. The large nose benefited people in the heat or humidity as thinner nose was beneficial for those in a colder environment. But again although some nose shape (not all) may be due to adaption, it doesn't mean that people from these environments wont have nose traits that may not be best suited for that environment. I've seen un-mixed Africans with thin nose and un-mixed white Caucasians with large nose (that is why nose jobs are popular). A trait may be prevalent in a particular group because it benefited them, but it's not exclusive to that particular group. Some traits are not traits that are absolutely needed though they are beneficial in certain environments. Meaning people with thin nose can survive hot environments like people with large nose can survive cold environment. Now if we talk about skin color, that trait was a life and death matter back in the days because sun screen did not exist for pale skin, so living in hot environment would have been problematic if you stayed out in the heat for too long.

What they ate, the kind of work they did, etc. For example, in Nigeria, the Igbo women usually have broader shoulders than in other tribes because they were predominantly farmers and they needed the added upper strength to farm. So, as time went on, their bone structures evolved. It took generations though.
