Of course, this gets complex when you realize a lot of trauma is multi generational, handed down through genetics. This can help make sense for people who have trauma responses but no known event of trauma in their lives. The good thing is gene expression can be turned on and off, and no, you don't need to edit your genes to do so. Gene expression is altered by environment, both external (where we live) and internal (nutrients and how and on what we direct our thoughts). The body is a machine, it needs certain components in the right amount to work properly, and each of our bodies are unique. The answer to health is understanding the combination of factors that create our environment which allow our bodies to heal themselves. In the case of trauma, though, especially unconscious trauma, much additional work has to be done by a person to uncover the source of the trauma to understand its effects on their thinking and behavior so they can change that. They are often working with a deficit of certain nutrients that are exacerbating the trauma experience. Without identifying this, they'll end up on a loop. We're all this way with our habits or lessons we won't learn, though. So really, health is about awareness of what and how our bodies are actually working and what creates health for them.

I agree, people move up and down different levels of vibration based on their experiences, trauma and learning. Which makes it harder to connect and understand a person as we cannot truly experience what he/ she has been through and are at a different level of vibration altogether. But then meditation and yoga are likely the answer as it has the power to alter our vibrations.

Is this why I'm so often misunderstood? I'm on a different level of vibration? I do feel vibrations but have never known what they are or why I feel the things I feel. I can be driving and will suddenly know I cannot go my usual route. I travel out of my way only to find there was a horrible accident at the time I would have been going through that intersection. Or I will suddenly tell the person driving to please slow down quickly. Within seconds there's a cop with his radar gun out. Things like this happen all the time. This is normal to me. I also seem to understand why people think the way they think when everyone else is totally confused by what they mean. I've never felt I belong here. I don't fit in, don't think the same as others, have a weird ability to know what's going to happen before it happens and am often misunderstood. It's a lonely place. I wish I understood why I am the way I am.

Although you can of course use meditation to explore the mind, but to come to any truthful conclusions about how meditation or the mind works you must use the scientific method. There is a growing trend in spiritualism of misusing scientific nomenclature and concepts to "explain" and merge with spiritual ideas. When in fact the people who do this have no idea how the scientific concepts they talk about even work. A good example of this is Quantum Mysticism. I have no grudge against spiritualism; but when people misinform others with fake science and try to merge it with spiritual ideas, that's when I have a problem with it.
