As Raventree78 said, the LT is smaller than the XT. Meaning that the fork width is a bit narrower. You can look up the specs to see just how much is the width difference. The width of the fork is a factor on aiming. If you establish an aim and anchor point with the XT, then pick up the LT and shoot it the exact same way, All your shots will be 3 or 4 inches high. Likewise, if you did the LT first and shot the XT exactly the same, your shots would be low. So you either have to adjust your anchor point between them, or learn to aim to compensate. If you only own one frame, then all this is a mute point, and just have fun! That said, I like the aim look of the LT fork better than the XT. The edges of the XT fork are a bit rounded and makes the sight picture not quite as exact. In the end, I have both and enjoy them for what they are.

I agree with the above statement, another great video. I bought an axiom early on because I simply couldn't decide between the two flavors of scouts. Like you, I'm not a fan of the axiom. I've since shot homemade forks exclusively. I agree with your statements about hand size in relation to grip and width of gap for TTF. Both are really designed for the pinch grip you demonstrated. The advantage to that grip is your wrist is more or less in a natural, straight position. The width of grip determines how much movement you will have on release, but before the ammo is in free flight. Basically, if you have big hands, go big. If you have average to small hands, go small. I've learned to overcome the disadvantages of my homemade designs, but that takes a lot practice. For someone who simply wants to buy a fork and be on target as fast as possible, it simply comes down to those two models and your hand size.

I thought you would like to take a look at the Stryker double flat bands from Saunders Wrist Rocket. I think when you cut them to size they would work well with the Simpleshot Hammer for heavy projectiles.

I really appreciate your reviews of the Hammer & Scout models. One of the problems with the reviews is...saying it comes down to ...."how do you like to.....". the problem with that statement for a complete newbie is..."I don't know how I like....to hold, to shoot, draw strength, etc". Another is that I don't want to make a mistake on my first purchase...hahah, cuz I'm a tightwad like that.

I like the XT for fork inner gap and outer gap because I started out shooting 100mm outer. As a big fan of pinch grip I do like the smoother edges of the LT better so I'm keep both of mine haha!

I like your channel.. My only complaint on the Scouts is the fidgety clip attachment. Its seems great in theory but their not as user friendly as say an Ocularis set up, or the good old wrap and tuck, in my experience. That being said, the LT gets my pick for best first flip all day long. Cheers!

What is the lanyard for on a slingshot? I saw a simple shot video where they said of course you’re going to put it on…..why? I shoot rifle, pistol, and recurve bow, but just got my first "adult" slingshot which is the XT

Well, Simpleshot introduced the Scout X today. Big improvement on the old XT. Now you have to do it all over.

I own both. Such a better shot with the XT. Idk why but I can't the broad side of a barn with the LT. Own other slingshots with the same fork gap as the LT an I'm deadly with them.

I keep my Scout xt set up for half inch ball just because its beefier,the Scout Lt i shoot 3/8" ball...this just seems right. Both are fantastic slingers in anybody's book!!!

Variety is the spice of life when it comes to slingers...i enjoy them all....if you intend on competing then 3-4 months before the event just shoot with ONLY the one you will compete with.
