How far out do you have to cast for bull red and black drum

At the Texas city dike you have to cast at least 50 yards to be in the drop off but sometimes you’ll get them close up.

what size reds do you keep?

I only keep slot reds 20-28 inches. Those make a great meal half shell! 👍🏽 the ones I caught on the video are considered Bullreds. You can keep them but just have to tag em
