this was fire. i never really thought of a chord as being different keys played. i always thought it was just 3-4+ keys playing in unison. this changes my whole perspective on music totally

Well, you wouldn't want the melody to contain ONLY notes within the chord at all times, but you also wouldn't want all your notes in the melody to be outside the chords either. Just weave the melody through and around the chords. If a certain note doesn't sound good over a chord, don't use that note.

But What about effects, mixing and mastering? I mean it’s a great beat but I wouldn’t recommend people to just start throwing random stuff together and call it done in 5 minutes. Seems like it would cause a slew people to not actually work on their song or beat and be lazy about it (no offense) their is no wrong way to make a beat these days tho imo.
@k2beats785
@k2beats785 6 жыл бұрын
TrapN Trakz I definitly feel you on that. I’m just saying people should spend the time on that kind of stuff because it really makes a difference and will progress them further. I’m just starting out so I really have no room to talk tho lol...your beats are pretty badass btw!
@djdrwatson
@djdrwatson 6 жыл бұрын
In no way was this random - it was built on a simple but solid music theory foundation from the very start. All the hard work was done in the first minute, then cut and paste after that. Mixing and mastering would've been no problem either too. I would've EQed out any unnecessary frequencies from the sounds and then put a little bit of reverb on the clap. It's easy when you know how!
