Have you ever found a bottle of Single Malt or Blended Malt Scotch Whisky and not known what distillery the whisky was from? I know I have been stumped in the past by the secret names, or trade names, of Scotch Whisky. If you do some digging though you can find out exactly what distillery many of these whiskies with secret names come from. Some of them even come from some of the most popular single malt Scotch Whisky distilleries out there. I hope you enjoy this list featuring some of the secret names of Scotch Whisky. @@whiskyonthewestcoast I was pretty unimpressed with the lineup when it comes to what I am interested in. I did manage to find a sudden appearance of Laphroaig 10 CS a couple days ago and I just went for that for my scotch purchase for the month. How about you?

You can have an entire episode naming all the caol ila ones😂 One that I like is the finlaggan. Someone once commented that it was caol ila juice aged or finished in ex-lagavulin casks. What great recipe

You really could!!! The Caol Ila ones are endless it seems. Let's hope it stays that way because the Port Askaig, Finlaggan, ect bottlings I've had that are Caol Ila are always solid. And I've been to Finlaggan Castle so I think you've just inspired the need for a bottle of Finlaggan on the shelf! Cheers 🥃

Kirkcowan is?? You’ve reviewed a bunch :) And one of my favorites is Blue Hill. Like Elk Mountain on a warm spring day.

I did not known either Kirkcowan or Blue Hill! Those were new ones, but ones I'll watch for! Craigallechie is phenomenal stuff. And I'm loving my Ex-Bourbon Cask Bladnoch whiskies so I'll watch for Kirkcowan as well. Thanks Watchman! Cheers 🥃

8 out of 9 is a fantastic score Travis! 👏 Well done! Blairfindy is definitely a deeper cut. The only Blairfindy's I've seen have been from Blackadder in their Raw Cask series. Master of malt has a few too though.

Signatory sells Bunnahabhain Staoisha! Scarabus is likely Caol Ila.

Thanks Dileep! Signatory making us happy with those Staoisha's. Thanks goodness for Caol Ila and all of its many secret permutations! In the 2nd part I only briefly cover Finlaggan, Port Askaig and others just because, while they are 90% of the time Caol Ila, those ones aren't always. Cheers friend 🥃

The only one I didn't know was Glenmosset, but I do have another 12 on my own list (and could probably come up with a few more if I put in the effort...). Well presented! I have bottles of Williamson and Candle Kitty, plus 3 you didn't feature, although I wonder if you know where Wardhead, Dalrymple and the Macphunn come from... (in Part 2 maybe?)

Wow, great score! I'm glad there was at least one you didn't know! Hopefully that made it worth watching Andrew. As for the the additional 3, Wardhead was in part 2, which I think we may reshoot. It's in there with Burnside as well because good neighbour's hang out together. I know Dalrymple is Alisa Bay but I was not familiar with Macphunn! It seems to be Ardmore to me though! Thanks for adding that one to the encyclopedia. Cheers Andrew 🥃
