Have you tried pressed eyeshadow formulation? I've made it several times with with pink mica (blush) and golden & white mica (highlighter) and I love those! Highlighter reminds me a bit of Essence's The Highlighter. Maybe pink+ golden / copper mica would create baked highlighter sort of product? 🤔

I wanted to order the "Digital version" of Marie's book for my daughter but it seems there's issues with the print and it's basically written as a "beginner guide". While Marie's research and time is Greatly appreciated; I feel that her blog is the best source for recipes, experiments and knowledge ie. Encyclopedia 🙂

@NonYa Biz The resolution issue in the e-book was fixed years ago :) The book isn't a beginner's guide-it's a book all about making your own makeup. There's some limited content on basic skincare, but the main focus is DIY makeup.

The base is preserved, and I cannot recommend anything more natural that will perform anywhere near as well. If you are ok with extremely limited wear time and ample creasing there are natural options.

I don't think so-the shift comes from light reflecting off the mica different ways, and without light reflection (matte), the effect is impossible. You could look for lower particle size micas for more of a shimmer vs. sparkle, but light reflection is key to the effect.

That would really depend on what kind of performance you're looking for. The film formers that make cream cosmetics long wearing do not have anything close to equivalent in the world of 'natural', so if you want truly long wearing products (especially if you have oily eyelids), you're unlikely to be successful with a 100% natural product. If you are ok with creasing + smudging you might have more success :)
