I feel for every decent father , once there estranged partner/wife involves cafcass . At that point you are screwed . They will make your life a total misery at exactly the time when you are at your absolute lowest and need your children . They want you to fight your corner with every penny you have knowing that the judge almost never challenges anything they say . This whole system is totally corrupt and they will and have destroyed good men and I mean destroyed .

So true. I have now been estranged from my son for 15 months. My ex wife has made countless lies to CAFCASS without providing any evidence and CAFCASS just jump in with both feet and endorse the woman. Abusive father's get more rights than a loving father because in the eyes of the system, an abusive father can continue to abuse whilst the estrangement of a loving father similarly continues the abuse of the alienated child. It's evil to the core.

Personally the courts in my case have always gone with exactly what cafcass recommends- even when they seem to disagree in parts- this is because cafcass are the child’s advocate and are trained educated in this area/ where the magistrates are not. They are law educated and their job is different.

Would be interested to see a video about 16.4 guardian being appointed. in what circumstances, and what their role would be..outside of the usual cafcass safeguarding calls/section 7 report.

Lawyers influenced a cafcass recommendation in my case, CAFCASS recommended 1 hour supervised sessions for 4 weeks, Responents lawyer said due to the time apart between father and child it should be increased from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. So CAFCASS was influenced.... I had to highlight to CAFCASS that their lawyer has influenced them... I was just fobbed off...?

Hi, my lawyer is asking me for £4200 for my cafcass hearing! I have 7 days to pay it, I have no idea what to do. I already spent £8000 on lawyers.

Please help me to understand this . So if my ex has alienated me from my children through parental alienation I should not mention it to cafcass because it will be mud slinging and in any case I don't have a right to my children? They are saying they don't want to see me or come to my house and they are 11 and 13. So because I don't have a right to them. That's it? It's the end of me and my children?

After a yr, realised solicitors were just bleeding me financially dry. Adjournment after adjournment! I was mortgage free! They, devoured all my savings. So, I decided to represent myself! I have A' level law, studied children's act, human rights act. Exposed safeguarding with evidence. Ended up against a Barrister, in a final hearing! Those key words " my client has instructed me! He has rights....blah blah blah! " Lol! Final order resulted in a section 91(14) order, till age 16! My point of view was always from my sons eyes/ point of view! Parents can be so selfish & not put the welfare of the child first! That's all the CAFCASS & the courts are interested in!

A section 91(14) order is quite an extreme measure so I assume your ex-partner was abusive to his children. That's really sad. Alas, it's NOT always the case that CAFCASS & Court are interested in the children first; it is certainly their stated aim, which they achieve with (far too) varying success..

Section 91 is to protect the mother in not breaching the Order and continue to be abusive narcissist controlling and coercive. The court and cafcass they are a bunche of mother's biased!

No! You can represent yourself! And if you choose have a Mckensie rep. The court isn't interested with parents, just the welfare of the child & the potential risk of harm to the child( physically, emotionally, educational etc.) Hope this helps?

My situation with care proceedings was a long time ago. If you knew the CAFCASS officer/Guardian we had, you wouldn't be saying all this considering how much she lied and twisted everything I told her, using it against me but in favour of my children's father, who had effectively abandoned them years before and seemed to prefer going to prison than being with them. Through lying about him, presenting a relatively good image of him to the court (the final hearing was 20 years ago today) and giving so many false impressions of me painting me as the villain of the peace; she actually put my children at risk. She also helped SS to cover up an incident of abuse carried out against my younger son in a care home, as did my solicitor. Fortunately, the next sw we had eventually took notice of the possible harm mentioned and carried out the checks at my insistence that my solicitor should have done but didn't, believing the Guardian wouldn't lie, and rectified the situation. My children's father was not happy that things were no longer going his way as she had clearly led him to believe that no one would find out the truth. They didn't bank on the next sw listening to me, taking notice and taking appropriate action.

The postponed my call created a letter like it happened, so i was gagged, then my own barrister gagged me, pd12j they didnt speak to me but made recomebdations so was gagged again , i then learned a sexrion 7 was filed before the judge ordered it, i have usb recording my ex atacking me, ss said coukdnt view them, i decided to dangerous to go to court whilst gagged, im the end im the bad guy

There is absolutely no justice regarding cafcass they are totally a law unto themselves they Will and do play god with your children and your life . How can they say they have safeguarding issues with a father and his children yet you can baby sit for friends and other family members yet cannot have your own children , it’s a total nonsense .

How would you advice to coparent with someone who is absolutely not interest to coparent has said it time and time again. I’d love to be able to Coparent but the other parents just won’t do it. And now that children live with the other parent, within less than a year one child is alienated and the other one is getting close to it. The other parent wasn’t interested to coparent Ann was NRP, and even less now .

I just watched this and had a good listen....you say don't sling mud well I didn't the other side did and and cafcass used it...the section 7 report had its in it but no evidence to support what the other side had said..seen my grandchildren for 3 years after I parted company with my now x wife then to have the rug pulled under me..and cafcass done nothing to help the case...I could go on and on...was not impressed....

I had similar. Crazy accusations from a narcissistic ex, which led to C7 saying not to take child to Spain, and not having residence with me, tho been 50-50 since seperation 8 years ago

Oh lord, the lady I spoke to clearly made her mind up before any talk to me. I was amazed how floored the service is. As a dad just forget about your children the family court is beyond a joke sorry to say. You do your best for your family and it all comes down to money. Children aren’t taken into any consideration apparently my children have lead a life of misery after a 30min talk with my ex partner that’s all they went by just her say so

My CAFCASS worker was a cheap liar who was looking for every reason to stop me having my child . He ultimately made a recommendation on custody based on there being a stain on my carpet allegedly and me describing visiting my child in supervised contact conditions as a “ labour of love” Apparently that meant I viewed my child as a burden.

I think you really should check your facts before posting comments. Parents have no right to a relationship with their children, in UK law it's the child's right to have a relationship with the parent if safe to do so. Ignorance is not a good look!
