Ouroboros was annoying in mvc1 since it was so easy to build meter and you could build meter while in the super. That's what made strider a top tier character in mvc1. Strider did not drop in mvc2 but assists added a huge dynamic to the game such that strider isn't as strong in mvc2...the game itself just doesn't allow for strider to dominate like he did in the previous game.

woh crazy I've been obsessed with chip + rush down lately. Doom + Sentinel is a blender but you can do some funny stuff with Sabretooth, Doom, Bison too. Molecular Shield makes dangerous rush down moves less of a gamble and easier to close the gap.

Cl0ckw0rk, An MVC legend! When I think of Strider/Doom he instantly comes to mind. Such a influential player creating notable teams in the franchise. Strider/Doom/Sent in MVC2 and Vergil/Doom/Strider in MVC3.

Strider is probably my second favorite character of ALL time, he's a total badass and a joy to play (and watch play) in every game he's in. MVC2 is no exception, Clockwork is mesmerizing to watch.

CLACKWERK! The legend was brought up to a small local MVC2 tournament by local legend and depending on who you ask 4th titan of the game Chris Schmidt and it was great meeting him and getting my ass SMOKED by Schmidt's MSP

I'm sad that I didn't see any reference to Clockwork's EPIC match against Golden Boy Neo. To the date is the HYPEST MvC2 set I have ever seen. Also... when to use pushback if any use at all against Strider?

Played Strider Doom, late in my MVC2 playing days. Had Iceman instead of the Bot. His icebeam took some good chip too. ❤ the content.

I remember when MvC2 first launched and everyone was complaining about what a downgrade (graphics wise) it was from MvC1, and how it only had 4 buttons so it was a baby game. Also game was figured out week 1 with Iceman Doom Capcom 🤣. It does make me sad we're probably not going to see something like Strider Doom ever again

If they ever rerelease Marvel vs Capcom 2. Call it SUPER Marvel Vs Capcom. Capcom frequently uses the super prefix for their updates and like super for super heroes.
