Probably the same reason why APFSDS/APDS has more spalling than APCR and AP - it penetrates more effectively, rather than being "caught" by the armour, a bit like how larger pistol calibre rounds are "caught" more easily by ballistic vests.

@@tomfahey2823 what are you on about. the spall is mainly from the armor. the more armor the ammo bashes through succesfully, the more spall is generated. also your pistol example works only in case of similar kinetic energy. the apds of the fox weighs only 5% of the L1G and is 300m/s slower or 78,5% velocity. The 30x170 apds-t has only 3% of the kinetic energy of the L1G. we can easily estimate the how much difference is in N/m^2 becasue the penetration value is loosly based on that. point blank 0° angle 110mm vs 502mm which means that the difference after the diameter of the shell is taken into account is still just under 5 times. There are other properties to take into account like shell shattering post penetration (the L1G is made of tungsten carbide so its more prone to shatter = more spall if the penetration is succesful) but generally speaking, the ingame post pen damage is totally incorrect. Tl;dr: Gaijin f-ed up this as well

What’s possible when the devs bump up the damage slider to max. Yesterday I completely one of those daily missions for the first time in years. I had to get 5 kills with a Tier III SPAA, so I took out the Swedish L-62 and got 5 kills with the recently unlocked SAPHE round in the first 5 minutes of the match. I find it rather silly that there’s this giant discrepancy between killing vehicles in seconds and them tanking dozen of hits. The game would benefit so much from most hits actually killing a tank instead of dealing damage that is then repaired. On one hand crews can survive hits from .50cals but then on the other a single 20mm HE can blow off the wing of a full metal aircraft. Makes no sense.

i know another stupid bugged little autocannon car... the sd.kfz.222 and flak puma also have a funny little "feature" at the moment, beeing that the time it takes to shoot 1 clip is perfectly the same time it takes to load another clip on a captured zone.. and since they don't have overheating mechanics for there guns you can just keep shooting infinitly (might also work with the pzII f since it has the same gun but not sure about that)
