Anyone else find back 50's easier than front 50's on rails?
@FrackaLackaАй бұрын
Definitely a front 50 guy on round rails but this video has me wanting to try back 50s on one

Notice you had the sounds of your pops synced with the music, and my 43 year-old ass is still trying to not have a panic attack while trying to push. Awesome video tho.
@RIPTurhaAKACryptidHunterАй бұрын
Back in the days it took so much more time to cut all those clips to match that beat. Sometimes you have so many just one trick clips. Then you put something like where you do 3-5 tricks and then those wont match beat. Best way to do it is you listen music with same tempo that you are going to put on your video part. That way you know when to pop to make it so much easier to edit! 😊 usually in older clips it goes off beat but that's fine.

It’s my first year of doing 50-50s on flatbar at age of 36. I made a 24cm low flatbar that helped me overcome fear of falling on my ribs. Now I learn them on 34 cm and it’s long term refreshing to overcome a long term fear.
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
Oh sick man, good job! It’s definitely intimidating when you’re first learning them and I think everyone has taken that exact slam to the ribs trying to learn them 😂

I try to crosslock round rails and heel side lock square rails... heaven forbid I forget which is which!!! 😂😂😂
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
Hahaha yeah that could be dangerous if you mix those up 😂
@mikethomson6546Ай бұрын
Long slides and grinds are so much more satisfying to do and watch than the short little end of the rails taps.

Yeah dude, it just makes it more fun and feel more legit too!

Hey man, Are you back on Ace trucks again? I just bought a new pair of Thunders and an 8.5 deck with an 8.25 WB. Waiting for the rain to stop. Keep the videos coming Brother. If you aren't already monitized. Let's get you there. Well deserved.

Yeah dude, these are the AF1’s and they’ve been sick since I put the Ace hard bushings in them! Sick! Thanks so much man, appreciate that a lot 🙏🏽

How come front side doesn't require a cross lock?
@terriblehappytalksАй бұрын
Good question! @leonpaxton??
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
Frontside 5050’s are more natural because you lock in with both of your heel side wheels the same way you would on a ledge. In a backside 5050 you can’t lock in toe side on a rail the same way you do on a ledge because it’s so much harder to hold and balance on your toes, and it’s a lot more awkward and precise to try and lock in double heel side on a backside 5050 on a rail so a lot of people cross lock it because it’s much more natural and comfortable. Some people cross lock their frontside 5050’s as well for more stability but that takes a little more effort

@@LeonPaxton nice! Bit out of my way but hopefully I'll get there on a road trip some time! While I've got ya... I left this question on your soft sliders vid but you might have missed it. I've noticed you seem to primarily skate street parks. Wondering why you chose radial or conical shaped wheels over classics? Just got myself a set of 52 classic soft sliders and am about to throw them on!
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
Yeah dude, it’s super fun and there’s a few other good parks around too 👌🏽 Oh sorry, I must have missed it! I just prefer a bit of a wider riding surface man, it helps when I’m skating more rough surfaces but then the rounded edges of the conicals & radials help my flip tricks scoop and rotate a little better so those wheels are just my preference for how I skate 👍🏽 Sick man, you will love them!

Hey mate, how do you find the soft sliders compared to the 97a’s?
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
The 97a Spitfire’s? I actually haven’t tried them before but I think I’m going to have to just so I can compare 👍🏽
@Beanz913Ай бұрын
@@LeonPaxton that would be a great comparison video. Especially for old fellas like me that have old knees that need impact reduction but don’t want to lose the slide 🤙🏽
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
I feel like these Soft Sliders will be better as an all round wheel though since they are designed to slide as well. The 97a Spitfires are just a softer version of their original formula 🤔
@SmithsFitnessАй бұрын
heelside on the back foot on fs 50s too?

On frontside 5050's I lock in double heel side non a rail the same way I do on a ledge lol
@CheeseDimesАй бұрын
Do I need loose trucks
@LeonPaxtonАй бұрын
Not at all man, even if your trucks are tight you will still get a good lock in because your weight will help them pinch down into position 👍🏽
