**I have been loc’d for 5 years now and this is my 3rd loc journey. I have thick, semi-free form locs this time around. In my first two loc journeys, my locs were thinner. I had over 100. Now, I have 46 locs.

New subscriber! Your hair is GORGEOUS ✨ Just started my locs yesterday 06/22/2024 and I’m so excited. This is my second loc journey and I wanted thicker locs but was getting scared cause I couldn’t find anybody who had thick locs until I ran across you!!! Mine are super tiny but it’s how I started the first set. I know mine won’t look exactly like yours but I know it’ll be similar. This hairstyle is super cute. I also don’t want to have too many locs. The locs fit your VERY WELL!!!

I've never heard of a plant-based dye. My scalp itches after I color my gray so that sounds like something I should look into.

If I don’t retwist my roots would never look as flat as yours, it barely looks like that retwisted. I wish I couldn’t retwist . Next month I’ll be a year in and I’ve retwisted 4 times already.

It may take a while longer for your roots to lay down. I am about to be six years and just started noticing that my roots were laying flatter.

Shae your locs are flourishing! My locs are a little over 5 years. I do get my locs maintained by a loctician. However, since moving to new state, my current loctician is very inconsistent. I'm really thinking about maintaining my own locs. I can l just don't like to. My go to style is a two strand twist as well. I'm on my 4th journey and these are my faves.
