Classic Italian Tiramisu Recipe with Lori at Superdelícia

Ingredients:
300 ml of strong coffee
8 egg yolks
200 g of refined sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla flavoring
4 egg whites
600 g of Mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese as an alternative)
200 ml of Contreau or Rum (optional)
25 ladyfinger biscuits
Unflavored gelatin (2 packets for the cream and 1 packet for the topping)
Preparation:
Strain the coffee and set aside.
In a double boiler, beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.
Mix Mascarpone with the egg yolk mixture.
Gently fold in the egg whites.
Moisten the ladyfinger biscuits in coffee mixed with Contreau or Rum.
Layer the biscuits and cream in a dish, finishing with a layer of cream.
Refrigerate until firm, ideally overnight.
