You are literally one of the most amazing people I have seen on this entire app. The fact that you share your knowledge without any intent of trying to milk every day people of their money is phenomenal. Truly, you are an inspiration to all who come to your channel and website. Amazing production and editing on your videos and very professional website curated for the common person wanting to dive into making their own products not only saving money but creating genuinely amazing products. I will definitely be buying your book in the coming days and I advise anyone who uses her recipes for helping your at home businesses to return the favor and buy it also and join her patron. Thank you honestly for allowing such knowledge to be shared for free.

Yep, it worked! I am very happy. Thank you Marie, for making success possible with clear explanation. I made the winter formula as it is currently just over 10 degrees in the UK and we heat the house only in the evening. I cooled the mixture gently to room temperature before placing it inside the fridge, and I didn't have to put it into the freezer to get it to the correct consistency for whipping. I added a teaspoon of arrowroot and three drops of vitamin E oil.

Thank you for your detailed explanation concerning temperatures (ambient). You had mentioned not to scale up until reaching the right ratio/recipe for our locations. But I have a question regarding scaling down. I've taken a few recipes ie. Lotion bars and body butter and cut the recipe in half as opposed to making a pound of body butter or 20 lotion bars etc. But each time I've done this with both recipes, they've turned out pretty bad. My question is what would cause a recipe that's been cut completely in half cause it to fail? Any input would be appreciated 🙂

For skincare it doesn’t need to be sterile (I learned from Formula Botanica, leading online school for botanical formulations) but it needs to be disinfected. All tools, bowls, and workspace can be cleaned with warm soapy water and some rubbing alcohol if you so choose to keep things sanitary and using GMP- good manufacturing practice 😊hopes this helps!!

Very informative. Is it possible to make body butter in a cold (Canadian winter) temperature to take on a tropical vacation without it melting?
@HumblebeeAndMe
@HumblebeeAndMe Жыл бұрын
No :( It would be a pretty sad tropical vacation if the ambient temperature was only a degree or two warmer than your home in a Canadian winter, and that's what you'd need to keep it from changing consistency/melting :/ I'm in Canada, too, and I need a different formulation for a Canadian summer vs. Canadian winter. If THAT needs different formulations, Canadian winter vs. Mexico DEFINITELY does. Alas.

Overthinker here 👋 my winters have a MOODY range from -2°C to 32°C... I TRY to keep my home between 18-40°C, but it's a leaky house & we mostly only keep our bedrooms ambient & just roll with whatever the house is going to be. My husband's idea of "ambient" is 30°C, so just us fighting over the heater dial makes for quite a range of temp fluctuations. At the exact same time my bathroom could be 6°C in the coldest of weather LOL I am willing to concede that such a fussy formula is probably not for my home... However *I can't help but play* with the idea of adding some kind of structure to the whip; they add gelatin & texturizers to marshmallow fluff after all! Could a small percentage of polyamide 3 (in it's respective preferred oil/ester to be gelled in) be my gelatin? Thank you for such fun ideas, my imagination runs away from me after every video & I have to catch up with it before we get lost to some nonsense, but that's the fun of it. Despite the perfected quality of your content (I mean you bring literally everything right here before we even have a question to ask, we don't even have to go seeking more stuff to enjoy a top notch idea), it gets the wandering mind going to wherever, for better or worse LOL, and I think that's a HUGE part of your content's value. And you're so patient with us too, so thank you

Oh wow, that is quite the swing! I think that rollercoaster of temperatures probably means your environment is best suited to emulsified body butter formulations-they are just SO much more thermally stable. Any anhydrous ingredient that adds structure is also going to raise the melting point, altering the skin feel and melting point of the formulation. That said, I'm never one to discourage experimentation and playing! Give it a go and see what you think 😄 You could have tons of fun + learn lots by blending up lots of different ratios and checking on them over time with a thermometer. If you're looking for a decadent emulsified body butter, I love this one ❤️ www.humblebeeandme.com/hot-chocolate-body-butter/ And thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ 😄 I'm so thrilled my content is sparking your imagination!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I live in subtropical region in Australia. I find the shea butter melts in your fingers before starting the recipe. I made the formulation as per your video but find it’s very “oily” when you scoop it out. Do you have a fix for this?

Hi Janice! Sections 6.1 and 7 of the free partner blog post address this, but you honestly might be in emulsified body butter kinda temps. Watch this video to learn more: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g5qAd9ac3uC8l58.html. Happy making!

Can the addition of arrowroot starch contribute to harden it afterward? I tried my first batch of whipped body butter with mango and korkum butter. It was perfect after whipping but I had no idea about ambient temperature and after I put it in a jar it totally firmed up! :( I thought, that’s how body butters are when they set! 😂

It absolutely can, but from your description I'm betting the kokum butter is more of the problem. Check out the video I made on whipped body butters that's linked in the description box below this one :) Happy making!
