They're just normal Acoustic Guitars. 6 String for Bruce and 12 for Keith. I believe theirs just some odd doubling or phaser effect happening due to the way the broadcast was recorded.@@dlk1dlk1They're also probably electric acoustics, so being pluged directly into the sound system gives them an odd sound.

I dont know how to start.. I have strong connections with Australia through my familiy. Most of my mothers family emigrated after WW2 to Australia. Brisbane and Adelaide are very familiar with my growing up in Germany. After visiting my relatives in 1992 and spend more than 6 weeks in this wonderfull and inviting country , i definitly would come back. Hearing this performance with the incradible Seekers remind me of the lost time I have, never coming back to these beautiful country.Walzing Matilda was for me the song of Australia for the last 30 years and i will come back to australia bevor i Die. Judith Durham ist the voice i never forget in connection with the spirit of Australia. Also i never forget the Seekers in total and the history of their contibution to show the auststralian soul. I am 64 now and i want to come back home. Judith dies on my birthday on August 5. and i try to come back to on this date to celebate her outstanding contribution to the australian soul and the whole Australian Contribution.

I have no idea how I missed this tragic news. Judith was my first crush (I was 5 years old) I can remember sitting on my big sisters knee and being captivated by her voice. My sister passed away during the covid pandemic and sitting at the service it was this happy memory that got me through. Words like legend and national treasure are thrown around like confetti these days and in doing so those words meanings are diluted. Judith, on the other hand, is the epitome of the true meaning of the aforementioned words. So, from a 6'4" hairy arsed Scot who seems to be crying like the wee 5 year old boy, please accept my sincerest condolences, your country has lost a real star. X

With the sad news of Judith Durham's passing today I reflect on her musical generosity, her gifted voice. I remember as a young teenager the many times my late father would sing " The Carnival is Over", and named me after your group musician Athol Guy. Thankyou Judith for the wonderful memories, your voice will live in my heart forever. Your Carnival will never be over. You are one unique lady. RIP Judith. Alan Athol Richards

I thoroughly agree. She was unique. There was nobody with a voice like hers, or a sound like theirs. But I think what made them sound so different was that they were not British or American, but Australian, plus she had a voice from heaven. Too many people dismissed them as easy listening as they only got to hear a handful of their hits. But they made great albums that were more musically versatile. God bless Judith.

I grew up in that era as a young man and what a joy to have lived during that wonderful time. The musical groups at that time were exceptional and will always have a place in my heart. Thank goodness for KZfaq that we can continue to listen to this wonderful era of music.
