Originally in mono, here is a new stereo mix using DES (Digitally Extracted Stereo), my thanks to Paul Wilkie for his great work on this. @@DJKinney I hate to break it to you, man, but if you took the trouble to read Rich's show more section you would see everything about this video explained. This is a re-creation of how the song came to be recorded, done for a later documentary on The Seekers. No actual footage of the original recording exists.

Today is my husband's birthday. He has Alzheimer's and is now in a nursing home. I played him this song and it brought a rare smile to his voice. For a few minutes his eyes lost that vacant look and he gripped my hand and seemed to see me for the first time in years. I know I'll never find another Him.

Judith had an over-reaching voice. Strong as a man's but pitched as a woman's. It would never get lost among the strings and other voices in the band. This successful formula was repeated years later in the famous girl-bands of the late 70's - 80's. Sheena Easton, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson and even Olivia had *_nothing_* on Judith.

My Grandpa's funeral was yesterday, he was survived by my Grandma. This song was played at their wedding 55 years ago and it was played at my Grandpa's funeral as his last request. My grandma at the funeral talked (through tears) about how the song speaks of a "promised land" but as the song goes on to say it is a "long, long journey" and that the marriage was difficult, even turning into a "nightmare" at times, but with God's grace it was worth it, every minute of 55 years, it was worth it up until "death do us part".
