Regarding the watch case, I feel the same way about the Turtle. I feel it's a bit too large around the dial, but when it's on the wrist....wow. It's so darn comfortable. Seiko really knows how to design these cushion cases where they hug the lines of even smaller wrists. It's one of the most comfortable watches I've ever worn.

Yes, they did a really good job with the case. The turtle is no exception either.

Needs a beveled edge on the glass. The 6105 had this and it caused the minute markers to be reflected. It’s a really important part of the 6105 look and the SLA033, which is a faithful replica in every other way, doesn’t have it. All the other Willards have it. It’s a mistake on this one.

I just got my SLA033. It's such a beautiful piece. Zaratsu polishing is just amazing. I agree with you on the crown, and that's the only thing I don't like about this piece.

Enjoyed your review! What's the material of the bezel insert? Is it ceramic or glossy lacquared bezel like earlier MM300? Thanks!

Lacquered bezel. Very pretty but very easy to scratch. I'd say same material as the MM300.

Seiko 8L35 movement unregulated is more accurate than my overhyped Omega Seamaster Plus like how its Invisible to non watch people

Is it a 19mm strap with a 20mm lug?

Per Seiko, the watch has 19mm lugs. I haven't measured the watch but it looks like it is closer to 19.5 mm while the band is a 19mm.

Please tell me more about the crown. Is it hard to seat on the threads? Is it gritty when screwing it down? Any fear of strippage? Thanks!

Actually the crown is very nice in that regard. Although the crown guards make the crown difficult to turn, they also keep the crown perfectly straight straight, acting as a guide and making it really easy to screw back in. No concerns about cross threading whatsoever. The crown is also very smooth too.

Roy Batty I’ve owned many Seikos and this one is definitely one of the nicest prospex divers. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!

19mm lug is the worst is see and the lack of bracelet. It wd also benefit a Little reinterpretation of the Hours and seconds needles, but thats personal
