This was the first "rules" kind story that I've seen where the main character actually *tries* to follow the rules since the beginning, and the rule-breaking happens as honest mistakes instead of just being a show of defiance to having rules perse. Quite refreshing take on it, actually. Great job on the narration, it really made things sound real!

I've worked home health care and hospice for many years off and on and there usually isn't that many rules. Just common sense stuff really. Things like to respect the home and client/patient and their things. However, I have had several nights where I could feel a presence, didn't know if it were the spirit of my client/patient being unsettled and trying to see what was going on outside of their bedroom or perhaps the spirit of their Husband or Wife that had previously passed. But none the less, there was occasionally something there and at times I felt as though it was trying to prove my soul or mind or something. When this first happened I was taken aback and didn't know what to make of it, but after giving it some thought I realized what it probably was and resigned myself to the fact that they were also curious about me and what I was doing in their home, and how vulnerable they were to be the victim of whatever a person could do to them or their home and things. So after some consideration I decided to let whatever was there know my intentions. I would tell it (in a whisper or mentally) that I respected Mr_____ or Mrs_______ and was there only to help them if needed. I meant no harm and wasn't going to take anything and would try to leave everything that I touched or used back exactly where it was previously. This became a routine with me. To go in with open and pure heart and I found that it got easier after the first time or two. Spirits can really leave the body and roam around the house if they intend to, and the person doesn't have to be deceased for that to happen. Some people call it astral traveling. It's understandable, just think about it. And then sometimes you feel a spirit that isn't there to check you out, instead it's there for the client/patient so they can become accustomed to being around it, so when the time comes to cross over, they aren't alone. Some people call this the angel of death. I did a video on that topic once and had many people email me their thoughts and experiences. So being a 'sitter' for someone in their home that is wheelchair bound or bed bound isn't as easy as it sounds...the stories I could tell. LOL but this isn't my channel so I won't. Stay safe out there!

She had one old lady who had her go banging the windows to scare off an owl she called a "wicked beast" who kept her awake. She should also bang the glass if the 'bad' cat showed up -the vicious one who made a racket -but *not* if it was the 'good' cat, who was a dear that got rid of mice and scared easily.

I think this is the first "Rules" story where the protagonist honestly tried to follow the rules and only broke them accidentally

Mr Creeps has a good one called "My apartment has strange rules that the tenants must follow". The poor protagonist in that one tried really hard to follow the rules but he never stood a chance.

Spolier Alert!! . . . . . There has to be a part two... Because how the heck is this person telling their story if they were trapped and never found? Lol Unless someone just posted their story and thats where they stopped writing lol

Sounds like mr tweaguge's home is paranormal chaos,at best!! Our home has also been haunted to the extreme ,for many years..by many different types of entities. I have put down, out loud ground rules for them to follow..the good helping spirits are always respectful ..tho the malicious ones never follow any rules..ever. and they have injured me in many different ways..I myself have been haunted since I was little..and I have spent many years learning how to protect myself,as the good spirits are also doing the same..constantly..because the good spirits here are also being assaulted, terrorized over and over..its heartbreaking..that they can be brutalized and murdered..and still are being assaulted,or hunted after they died in the 1st place.. being safe is a myth..we are never safe,as long as there is so many evil forces in the world..safety is only what your spirit can create for itself..when 2 of my passed on family members have been kidnapped by evil entities, after they died..what safty?? Where is it?? We have never been truly safe our whole lives. I know its sad, dissconcerting ,even angering..tho once we accepted it..we made emmense more progress together with the spiritual& living family members.

Poor guy musta broken nearly every one of those macabre rules 😂. I am imagining the old guy was some kind of mad scientist who was so rich no one Saeed to stop him doing experimental on humans but the universe noticed and made him live in a powerless state for 25 years and his experiments now live with him - or something like that - I couldn't think of a worse way to spend 25 years we'll I suppose being poor would have made it worse but he'd probably not have lived so long if he wasn't loaded. Thanks again for filling my free moments with your well told tales LH 💐
