Slovakia has trademark for it, this is fact. If you refer for the other fact, Slovakia was not existing back there, yes, we can agree on that. But in the nowadays region of skalica it came very popular. We believe a austro-hungarian empire general brought to skalica a cook from nowadays Romania (transilvania), who created this recipe... Thus also Romanians can say it is their cake ;-) nobody can track to the very single person who did this the 1st time, but maybe to the region where it started to grow yes...

So if you're counting on help pretty darn soon - I'd be thrilled if Barbara was left standing. Cuz she is the shark that will pull out her wallet and put her money where her mouth is two out of three times whereas the other sharks, aside from damon,(who changes the terms on the most deals) will back out two out of three times Her businesses are important to her, they're just another toy to Mark Cuban and his children

It's called Tredelnik, it's a cheap to make snacks for tourists in Czechia. Flour, oil ( rapeseed or sunflower ), flour, eggs, a little bit of sugar and baker's yeast are the only ingredients.

They can register a TRADEMARK to protect their dessert BRAND (name, logo, brand identity). I think the word you’re looking for is PATENT, which protects unique inventions from getting copied / stolen. So they might not be able to patent this food invention, but i doubt he’d ever want to. He never said he invented it. He’s just the first to commercially bring the food to the USA, (which does count for something)

And he said they sell these on the side of the streets and not basically not in stores and they use coal to cook these. He literally did NOT invent anything.
