If only Alex not being able to kick the door open was on purpose. Imagine if they said something like, “Sharks, we haven’t been honest with you. This door that Alex can’t kick open, uses our technology. This other door, does not”. BOOM! Alex kicks it right open.

physics guy here the Haven lock is more resistant to physical force not because of its position but because of its size (i.e. width). The most leverage resistance, relative to the hinges, occurs at the furthest point away from them which is, surprise!!!!! Where normal locks already get put. For that reason. I see no reason to invest in this garbage instead of a deadbolt that's like, really tall, or a steel-reinforced doorframe or something. The "convenience" isn't even really a factor since you could install the same easy-lock on a regular lock too. Or like, those push bars you see on the inside of doors in public buildings that make opening from the inside really easy are even better since you can still unlock from the outside.
