I'm a huge fan of 90s alternative and I just discovered this gem in 2020! I love moments like this! It's like that decade comes back to life for just a few minutes!

Had the pleasure of seeing them perform with two other bands. Sheila Divine was the opener, Staind was the second act, and Oleander was the "headline" act. This was Christmas of 1999, nearly everyone left after Staind finished their set. There was maybe 10 people left to watch Oleander. They talked about it on the radio station that hosted the show the next day. Saying it was a huge billing mistake, but technically Oleander was the "bigger" act at the time.

Memories of Adventure Club with Josh on KDGE Dallas back in the day, before Los Angeles stole him. Turned me on to so much great new music that NEVER would've gotten airplay anywhere else. He used the medium in the correct fashion, and boy is that a rare thing. Viva Adventure Club!

in the days of Kazaa, and Limewire, HUM was broken up, and I went searching for B sides and singles. This came up in the results, spent an hour downloading it, and I thought it MIGHT be HUM, but this is the Sheila Divine, the SONG is Hum. It was the best accidental find ever

saw them when I was homeless, in 98,they played a show in tower records in Harvard sq,no one knew what to expect,THAT DAY,I learned two things,I could NEVER be a singer, (the reverberation in his voice,had ALL the windows shaking,the workers,were shitting,and using there bodies to hold the windows lol,I KNOW he wanted to shatter those f####s,I ALSO learned this Album,This BAND,AT THAT TIME,was one of the MOST underappreciated bands in rock,THIS is what Harvey Danger wished it sounded like

Sounds like an epic experience. I saw them at CollegeFest at the Bayside Expo Center and was left awestruck by the power in his voice. Never saw anything like it.

Same (sort of)! I knew of this song’s existence & heard it a couple times back in the day, but more recently, I was in a Spotify rabbit hole, randomly checking into what MC Rut had been up to, and this tune was their most recent release. I listened and was like “where have I heard this before?” I just love random, obscure covers like that; definitely renewed my interest in this track!

@@Geert.Van.Boxelaeridd, heb ze vorig jaar nog gezien in Ieper en 5 jaar geleden in Kortrijk, en in Ieper een praatje gemaakt met de zanger en hem gezegd dat het niet te geloven is dat ze niet de herkenning hebben gekregen die ze verdienden maar bleef daar zo nuchter in, album new parade is een miskende parel maar ik ben ze alvast heel dankbaar

Very moving song, one of my favorites. I asked this question on a forum, and nobody seemed to understand it. I'll try it here. The video shows Ricky Martin, the boy bands N Sync, the Backstreet Boys, and several other entertainers, as "a bunch of fakes". I get where they're coming from. A lot of pop culture does come across as very shallow even while it's trying to be edgy and rebellious. But how did the entertainers pictured react to this portrayal of them? The answer I got on the forum was that there were no legal grounds for defamation. Even if that were true, was there any buzz about it? Did they say anything about their inclusion in the video in their defense? I've been wondering about that for a long time.
