This week, we're in Thames Valley with Gerwyn Jones who received a call from a troubled estate owner, asking for some protection from crows and pigeons who are attacking his rape. Gerwyn takes the job on and gets to work.

A video that all pigeons shooters can relate to . Out doing what you love with an open mind and no guarantees . Getting a bit of sport at the end of the day . Very enjoyable and real .

One thing Gerwyn really ought to know: birds are not colourblind! They can see all the colours we can see and have much better perception of blues than we do. They can also see into the near ultraviolet; a lot of birds where the cock and hen look identical to our vision actually look completely different if you take into account that fourth colour of near-UV.

Good shooting video, you explained it well 👏👏. I often get asked how much lead did you give that, answer is I just swing through the bird and don’t stop your swing , works for me . Stay safe and look forward to the next video 🤗

Really interesting about what Jones has to say about chokes, very refreshing. Would love to know his thoughts on steel carts and what gun he would use if lead is phased out.

Can you not shoot Feral Pigeon in Europe? Or do you just not want to? That’s about all we shoot in the US

@theshootingshow where can you buy the pigoen decoys with poles etc. That Gerwyn is using? I find it quite Nice that he is able to balance the decoys in the trees like that

I have a jebs high voltage 690 and i never take it out no matter what im shooting. I prefer a tight choke.
