@@davidlopes8519 I think that was the point since the episode was inspired by I Claudius and Caligula. Marge being based on Livia and Agrippina. Except IRL had (relatively) better Vespasian, ignoring a year long civil war and successors taking Nero's boy-toy as their spouses (Otho tried to reenact Hades and Persephone in public led the boy-toy to kill himself).

Marge cooks for 5 people (well, 4 and a baby), cleans a relatively big house every day and cares for the dog. It most likely isn't as much work as a 9 to 5 job, but it certainly is enough work to make getting a 9 to 5 job rather hard to balance.

Part of me wanted a Byzantine version, but Nelson as Basil I (at least the ability to schmooze people and a trickster) with Quimby or Homer as Michael III (party animal, or lazy oaf at least in more negative account), Grandpa Simpsons/Ned Flanders as Bardas (or someone cautious about Basil's ambition before getting culled as a result), and Lisa/Millhouse as Leo the Wise (at least playing on her part as a bookworm, though not funny since Basil I did beat up Leo and would have him blinded if it wasn't for pleas from his wife and public support). Plus Bart as Alexander (mischievous and maybe ignoring Lisa's advice and probably resented her for getting the throne). Maybe inspired by Krispos by Harry Turtledove, who made a Fantasy story based on his rise to power. Edit: Maybe Nelson would fit as Basil instead of Bart.

She's been a housewife for 10 years. No work experience that lasted longer than an internship since she finished college. The way things are, it would be very difficult for her to earn enough dough for a household of four with a house, pets, two cars and an elderly family member in a nursing home. Homer's job as a nuclear inspector is holding that family over water.

Yeah sorry about that but Marge squandered her chance at getting a better job she had a job as a police officer she quit because of corruption when she should have kept the job instead secondly she's been a house wife for over 10 years has never completed an actual job Homer has a better job than her that's already been established as fact and he's the one bringing in the money meaning that if she even wants to get a chance at forcing Homer to do something she needs to get a better job than he already has which won't happen at least in a reasonable amount of time she's trapped she's trapped she's already tried to become a carpenter and she's good at it but she won't be accepted by most men nor most people in general sadly which is actually a reference to real life she's trying her best but Society kept pushing her back and now she has to accept it she should have tried when she had a chance she's trying her best but Society kept pushing her back and now she has to accept it she's in a prison of her own creation
