Its more the nagging they were doing, even by appointment that would occur. As someone whos step mother is a hair dresser, every client besides like the first timers (and even only sometimes) will nag and small talk like that. Its mind numbing listening to all their issues.

Homer should work in Finnish salons. We dont care about small talk. Some hairdressers even offer "bo small talk" option when booking

I got a job. I did well on it. I hated it. Some people just want to do a job and not talk. I tip my hair guy if they talk less. Like hi um how would you like your cut? Oh okay 3 on the side. Square back and sideburn where. K top by scissor and how many fingers long? I give them 10 bucks or more 😂 i hate talking during a cut.
