And you know what this bs stemmed from? Having a Beetle guest star on the simpsons, as he wanted Lisa to become a vegetarian before he graced them with his voice 🙄 I'm trying to become a less spiteful person, but eff that guy. He's the reason that Lisa has become what she is today

I love how PG humor on a cartoon was so controversial in the early 90s. I remember kids getting kicked out of school for wearing the "I'm Bart Simpson who the hell are you?" shirt

What I like about these early shorts: 3 kids were almost always together. In classic and later Simpsons Bart doing harm, Lisa cares about global world problems and Maggie is on her own - practically no common activities.

If I'm not mistaken this was Klasky-Csupo's first venture into animation other than show intro effects. They have one of the most distinctive styles in cartoons
