Yeah. The ideas were there but the game literally can't handle itself with the horrible lagging, even when graphics are on low setting which is why I don't play it anymore

You can get several nraas mods like overwatch that help with stuck sims and objects which help a LOT with lag. I really recommend it if you every wanna pick up ts3 again. I have it and can’t play without it! There’s also a fixed world of Isla paradiso that you can download if you have island paradise that fixes most routing bugs which made the world unplayable.

@@Miyakies can’t recommend the nraas mods enough! Error trap and overwatch are game changers. I’m able to play on relatively high settings with hardly any lag. Even within create-a-style which used to just straight up crash my game.

Build mode can be pretty laggy till this day, but live mode actually runs pretty smooth on a modern gaming PC. I'm playing old the time and I don't have any performance issues. I play with all packs but only a bunch of CC because when you add too much the game does start to lag.

You could probably make the 70's house in TS4. Whenever I play a new save in TS3, first thing I do is rearrange where the game places those "new" buildings automatically, sometimes placing new lots for them. Next step is placing store lots that I want in that save. Lastly I go through all the bars and hang outs and change out the bars from basegame to nightlife so bartenders will spawn and put the bookshelves that spawn skillbooks in the library. All that before actually playing any sims. If I feel the need I'll go through and add "all in one" bathrooms at out of the way locations that have no bathrooms.

Don't forget that the sims 3 has a Fortune Teller job but only if you dig up the one Wagon from the build mode and add it. I recently did the entire 14 step Sims 3 Performance Fix guide and it got the Sims 3 to run on my computer (and smoothly!) for the first time IN YEARS and I've been playing it nonstop ever since! It's soooo good. I'd forgotten the sheer depth and breadth of every aspect of gameplay! So many little details, so much thought in everything. For example, even something like the bog standard base game medical career has all these special events. You have a pager that might call you in for an emergency if you're on-call! you sometimes have to go like give out shots! you can check-up on patients over the phone or through a house call! And all of this is WITHOUT any of the packs focused on careers specifically (e.g. Ambitions).
