Baba Is You - Meta part 5. We finish up the extra levels and make our way to the single hardest challenge in this game - meta 12 - return of scenic pond. Even reaching the level is a bit of a challenge, but it does not even compare to the behemoth this level is. Hopefully my solution is easy enough to follow. I had to comb through two and a half hours of footage for this, so it might not be my cleanest edit.

This level took two and a half hours to beat, which is by far the longest time I have spent on a level. The only levels that I'd say are comparable difficulty are level 5-12 (which I didn't upload footage of because it was so maddening) and one level that you guys have yet to see. Well, it's more of a specific necessary way to beat a level... you'll see.

This level was an extremely eerie experience for me. The original level this is based on has a little gap (in the bottom right) for one to break the baba is float statement to allow for a skull bypassing, flag/win obtaining solution. I did not perceive that little gap. I spent a great deal of time on that original level before I overcame my blindness. So relatively early on in Baba is You, I was trying to overcome a challenge which did not exist. Until this level. As if transported to a land where fantasy was reality, "The Return of Scenic Pond" had a personal message for me. "Welcome home"

@@pirilon78 That's not a pleasant experience. I had a similar issue with the normal scenic pond, it was my personal 5-12, the level that broke my patience and made me salty.

The founding fathers of the US were terrorists. Terrorism is just a means to an end, and not inherently positive or negative. Its also important to note that terrorists are terrorists only because a government says they are. Their actual morality, goals, or even what they do have no bearing on them being labled as such. Modern day example of "good terrorism": China labling the hong kong protesters as terrorists.

Damn, cool solution! I watched another let’s play of this level where someone stacked baba and the text ‘baba’ together and then put them on the ‘baba is float’ area, and then used the stacked baba to break the ‘baba is float’ text. So cool to see multiple solutions even this far and this hard!!!

I watched the vod the day after this was streamed and I still can not BELIEVE you were able to beat that level without using float. They should release a super hard mode extra level that looks just like the one but with just the "is" and no float that forces people to use the Tyler strat cause it was so damn creative

Ikr when i did it i stacked baba and text and got two babas and just broke up baba is float at the end, but tylers strat looks so much harder. I would love to see a return to return to scenic pond. Also instead of getting rid of float i think they should just put it in the corner

Wait, that isn’t the intended solution? I thought float was just there to throw you off. Both me and my friend did that when we first came across the level and we thought it was intended. The real unintended solution is not using flag and using Baba is Text to make Baba Is Win?

If someone creates a version of The Return of Scenic Pond that forces Tyler’s solution, the level should be called “Multiple Swimmers” to hint that you will need to send a Keke and a Baba up to create Flag Is Win.

I saw the stream replay of you trying to beat the level (meta 12) and i’ll be honest i prefer watching that over this edited version, you are missing so much of the thinking in the level that by the ending of the level you’re just like “what did he do?” or “why did it take him so long”

Damn this level is not only hard, it STILL manages to have at least two solutions. Yours leaves the "float" useless, so it's technically a bit more efficient.

Wow, your solution to Meta 12 is quite different from mine. I sacrificed the KEKE for a second Baba, used the push trick to stack BABA and TEXT on each other (forming BABA HAS TEXT in the same push), then making a bajillion BABAs and... doing shenanigans. I think it was making BABA IS FLOAT, pushing FLAG IS WIN in place, then using BABA HAS BABA plus the "pushing text onto yourself to break text against a wall" trick to stop being FLOAT.

The intended solution for return of scenic pond is that you can still break baba is float,by the mechanic on the level called prison

My solution was similar, using baba and text stacked in the way you did to get 3 babas and having them positioned in such a way that activates and deactivates float, similarly to the prison level. I then somehow got a baba to push the flag text down and across while float was active, deactivated it and then won with the third baba. I did this a while ago so the solution is a hazy in memory.

holy shit, what is that alternate solution, amazing I first killed the "keke" text to get a second baba. with that I made "baba has text" and pushed the "text" text into baba killing it and releasing "baba" text. With that stacked text I made "baba has baba/text" and killed a baba to make "baba is float" and create a secind baba. Then you can just do flag and push one baba into the "baba is float" sentence to breat it. I really like this level, it evolved a simple level to use more advanced mechanics like text stacking

It's because ROCK IS PULL - the word PULL has the same side effect as PUSH, which prevents you from stepping onto items.

i want someone to point out what is wrong with my solution (bc i don't have the game): Text is Float, Text is You, with a text (like a "has" or smth) already to the left of the skull, use "text is you" to push "has" over the skull, use the "has" to push "Flag" down and then push "Flag" to "is Win" with "Text is You," then use the wall on the inside of the fence to make text not float and win.

Nope. Or at least I guess it could be if you give two babas and one has keke for when it gets defeated by text. Not sure if that solution would work. Edit: nvm i forgot that you float so it's safe. Guess that is the solution like I thought. Probably don't even need text stacking for it either. Just get three babas, get baba text with baba has text, make flag is win, then use two remaining babas to do dungeon solution to stop floating.

Tyler idk if you know about this or not but there's a secret level on Meta named "Whoa", it requires stacking flag and text together on booby trap then doing some dumb shit to turn cursor into level. It's fairly recent, added back in July. It looks absurdly difficult.
