Я не понимаю его рисунки. Что а них такого уникального? Выглядят как рисунки которые рисовал подросток

@@Big-O-there not really finished drawings there "quick and loose" sketchs designex to gef his hand flowing , warm up his dexterity and familarize himself with additional unqiue shapes for his work. The endgame of it all is the painting not these drawings which are used as part of the process. Look up Phil Hale on google and you will immediatly understand.

This man's philosophy in chasing solely the line is fascinating. Very interesting approach to seperating art down to its bare bones. Would like to have seen some of his professional work.

He is definitely worth the google search. I made note of him in college and kind of forgot the name until now. very cool blend of comic/painterly style.

I Knew I knew that name. So cool you got him on your channel. I feel very on par with the way he thinks about sketching at the moment. Although he discounts his discipline as a habit, I wish I could make this same claim. I still get attached and want to make it better, flesh it out more.

Interesting how he reacted differently upon seeing his 'character', of which I think there were 2 sketches in there. I wonder what he felt and thought. I'm quite a fan of it so I'm curious.

5:13 "Often the more accurate you are the more useless it is as a drawing"
@oowaz
@oowaz 4 ай бұрын
mind you that this is something to do with his own process and his own body of work tho, i don't think this is an advice - for beginners learning to be accurate is useful if that's a skill you want as well as the ability to modify a drawing, they can both be important

Dude these are just "quick loose" sketchs as part of his process for his paintings. Which are often full of photorealistic elements. He is quite excellent actually.

He says he loves to draw but then he doesn’t say or do anything that would support that claim. I know a few painters who could careless about drawing, they want to get straight to the paint, so thats not an issue. Again, its the impression that he contradicts himself a lot. A great artist is relative. I enjoy some of his compositions for sure & his twisted faces or more dark work, definitely. But, there r many artists in the world & for my taste his work comes across a bit gimmicky.
